Have to share this with the world, excuse me.
Last night I, like an idiot, drove home after a few drinks.
I took a right turn on red from the straight lane
and...
"Damn, I'm going to jail...again."
and was resigned to the punishment that comes with a DUI:
I double-parked when I stopped my vehicle.
I am very respectful, and suddenly, I am in the front seat of the police car with the officer, waiting for the inevitable.
I stupidly(?) admit that I did have a couple drinks (more like 6) and honestly thought I could drive. Then... the turn. The officer asks his friend to move my car into a single spot and offers to get me a cab...
I'm in the front seat feeling like I reek of alcohol, no way he couldn't smell it, and he does this^^^!!!!
For whatever reason he never administered a sobriety test, did not slap the cuffs on me, let me keep my keys,
I made it home safe without hurting anyone and recovered my vehicle an hour ago:
I hope you guys enjoyed this tale. I got soooo damn lucky, you may not.
I got my second chance, to the officer, I have no idea why you saw fit not to arrest me, but
Oh, and,
I hope you guys enjoyed this tale of redemption, and it may sway you just a bit to get that damn Uber..
To society, and the people on the road I could have hurt, I sincerely apologize, it WILL NOT happen again!!
And just because you made it this far:
