I had to google this guy's name, but damn is he on a run. In his last three fights, he's taken out two of the most felated Russians on the forum. On Saturday night he submitted Anthony Pettis. Now I know what you're thinking, Pettis is shot. Maybe so. The Ruke Doofas product has had struggles in recent years, but taking him down and submitting him out right is incredibly impressive. Also, I'll go on the record and say it, Pettis looked pretty good. His timing was there, speed, precision. That dude just beat his ass fair and square.

Shoutout to Carlos Diego Ferreira and his win. His wiki says he was a mattress salesman. Respect.

The zhoozhits was very dominant

I was surprised and I have zero faith in Anthony pettis, just as a general rule

Yeah, I didn't bet on Pettis myself, because no one who likes money ever should. However, if you told me Diego would win late by wearing on Pettis who suffered an injury, I would have said "yeah that makes sense" .

But the fact that he took it to him and submitted him. People should not forget Pettis is a beast of an MMA grappler. He submitted Olivera, Benson, Chiesa, and was doing excellent in grappling exchanges with Nate. This guy may look like he lays tile, but he is a little beast man. I loved watching him on the countdown show. You can't help but get the feel from his personality that he may not be as smooth but he is one of those guys who will die in there before he quits. I am rooting for him from now on.

Shame he’s already 35. But yeah, the jiu jitsu was shockingly dominant against a guy like Pettis

He reminds me of RDA but more grappling focused and with a bit less versatility and power on the feet. He's been underrated for a long time imo. I enjoy his style a lot and from his interviews he seems like a pretty cool dude.

Unfortunately though he's also been USADA'd. But since his suspension he has looked great so it wasn't a career ender. I'm unsure of what he got caught for and what his defense was/if they cleared him of intentional cheating.

He'd destroy Conor, that is a certainty, assuming they compete in a genuine legitimate MMA fight.

Pettis busted out the southpaw like I've been hounding him to for the past few years. For whatever reason, he completely abandoned that stance. I believe it was ever since he suffered a knee injury and had surgery that he stopped fighting from southpaw, when that was when he had the greatest success. However, he finally busted it out last night. He still looked terrible though, but Ferreira did look good and has been looking good recently.

trash fight awareness from pettis and Roufus. It was obvious from the first round that the goal was to pressure him toward the cage and use the cage for takedowns.
That said. Diego put on a masterful Bjj display. Major props to him.

Doufas is probably the worst mainstream coach in the game

He turned 35 just yesterday, hopefully he doesnt need much time to fight again and they can book him vs Islam Makhachev.

You and your southpaw stuff...

There certainly is more to fighting than the stance, but I’ll swing by and drop some material for you in your thread about this.

Or the loser of Oliveria/FKL. Either way, he's maybe one or two wins away from getting ragdolled by Khabibi and raking in some real Reebawk coupons!

He's on a 6-fight win streak he shouldnt be fighting a loser or anything. I think he beats either FKL or Olivera.

Islam is available to fight sooner than those two though
