...even the undercard fights are main card worthy. The main card itself is not amazing by itself, but at least with UFC 200, I'll have motivation to watch the card before the co-main begins. The lineup as of now is:

Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz non title welterweight bout

Miesha Tate vs. Amanda Nunes for women's bantamweight title (props to Meisha for putting an end to this auto-rematch bullshit)

Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar for interim featherweight title

Travis Browne vs. Cain Velasquez
Julianna Pena vs. Cat Zingano
Kelvin Gastelum vs. Johny Hendricks
Derek Brunson vs. Gegard Mousasi
Joe Lauzon vs. Diego Sanchez
Takanori Gomi vs. Jim Miller
Enrique Marin vs. Sage Northcutt

I don't want to say that I'm disappointed with the lineup, because I'll definitely be watching, but for UFC 200, I think there were a lot more intriguing matchups that could have been made. For example, Conor should be fighting Frankie or Aldo while Nate Diaz fights someone else like Khabib, or Eddie Alvarez, or Pettis. Wonderboy and McDonald should have been on this card as well. What fights would you guys have liked to see on UFC 200 (or would like to...maybe it's not too late)?

Also, I'm hoping if I piggyback this next article on top of a legitimate UFC 200 discussion, the folks here at sherdog won't baby us and let us have a little grown folks talk even if it is just for shits and giggles.

Bob Arum: UFC fans are voting for Donald Trump to help save white America

Good ol' Bob, ever-complimentary of the UFC fanbase.

Two women fights on the main card?

The order I posted the fights is different than the order they show of sherdog. i don't know for sure which fights will be on the main card aside from the Conor/Diaz, Aldo/Frankie, Miesha/Nunes, and Cain/Browne. I also imagine the main card of this particular event will have more than 5 fights, but i could be wrong.

looks like three 5 round fights to finish off the night

Arum isn't all wrong. Trump is quite popular on here and his support is largely made of white males, which makes up the majority of MMA fans. The Fertitta bros and Dana White are neo-cons, but will almost certainly back Trump.

But do you think that his supporters feel threatened by non-white influences within America? Do you think that his border wall and Muslim banning rhetoric are ways of legitimizing anti-Mexican/Muslim sentiments?

Just looked at the line up so far

It doesn't look special at all and that's what the ufc was trying to go for

Welterweight Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor - PATHETIC REMATCH
Featherweight José Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar [a] - SAME PERFORMANCE FROM ALDO AGAIN
Women's Bantamweight Miesha Tate (c) vs. Amanda Nunes - CRAP
Heavyweight Cain Velasquez vs. Travis Browne - Good fight
Welterweight Johny Hendricks vs. Kelvin Gastelum - Will be boring, both need a W badly and will play it safe
Middleweight Gegard Mousasi vs. Derek Brunson - Bunson will make this boring
Lightweight Diego Sanchez vs. Joe Lauzon - Too late - Busted up and out of their prime
Lightweight Sage Northcutt vs. Enrique Marín - Who vs Who
Lightweight Takanori Gomi vs. Jim Miller - Too late - Busted up and out of their prime
Women's Bantamweight Cat Zingano vs. Julianna Peña - CRAP

UFC 198 is the real card

Pile of shit headlined by a joke fight

Pathetic

This isn't a special card it's just a normal one

This card is lame as fuck and just all about money

Aldo and Edgar fighting for interim bwhahaha and Conor mcrunner on same card bwhahaha give me a break

What a lame duck

It's a great card but there were better matchups to be made. It's missing something. Lawler vs GSP or Lawler vs Condit 2 should be on here.

It`s for an interim title, of course it`s 5 rounds.
True. Three five round fights can be a bit much if they all go the distance, though. That Strikeforce card in Nashville taught us all that. The post-fight brawl is what salvaged the evening, from an excitement stand point.

IMO, the card is not worthy of a milestone like UFC200.

Hendricks vs Gastelum...who was begging for that matchup?

I agree with Helwani that Edgar/Aldo should be headlining their own card.

I don't like how Tate vs Nunes looks like a more important fight than Cain vs Browne. Tate vs Nunes wouldn't make it to this card if it wasn't for a title.

UFC has caught a case of Don King-itis with their money greed.....just a pathetic card for being UFC 200

I can actually see the 3 fights going to the distance but people are worried about PPV time when the UFC has all cover up.
