The LHW division might be destitute now, but has tons of young fighters to look forward to.

I never even realized this until recently, but holy shit LHW is going to be an awesome division in a couple years. Lots of talented, young up and comers on the roster, LHW will most likely be stacked in a couple years.

Ion Cutelaba - 24 years old
Khalil Roundtree - 28 years old
Tyson Pedro - 26 years old
Dominick Reyes - 28 years old
Abdul Kerim-Edilov - 26 years old
Aleksander Rakic - 26 years old
Michel Oleksicjzcuk - 23 years old (suspended)
Magomed Ankalaev - 26 years old
Darko Stosic - 26 years old
Jordan Johnson - 29 years old
Devin Clark - 28 years old
Nikita Krylov - 26 years old

(Got these from WIKI so some may be off)

Not saying all these guys will be champion or contend or anything, but that's really not a bad lineup of solid, talented fighters to look forward too and some to expect big things from in the coming years. Not to mention Volkan is still only 28, Cirkunov is 31, Anthony smith is 30, and Boring 25/8 is still only 28.

I expect most of these guys will be ufc mainstays as well, they just need to start matching them up with the top guys, getting these boys some fights and try to grow and move the division along imo.

They need to stop fucking around and match these boys up with some ranked guys imo, if they lose alot of them still have time to grow, if they win then there's some much needed new blood at LHW.

dont forget Yoel

I was trying to point out more the prospects and up and comers, and Yoel would be great for the 205 division. Sadly though, I think he's staying at 185 and fighting the Paulocost.

Jiri is the LHW they need to sign. He still needs a little defensive work, but he hits like a sledge hammer.

But I hope that they don't sign him and he stays in Japan.

I just googled Jiri, not realizing I caught the tail end of his win this weekend. Yeah, he's a beast.

Then I looked at his sherdog record. WTF!? It says he lost to Bojan Velickovic in round 1 at 0:00.
How the motherfuck does that even happen??

I knew he fought king mo and was pretty good, but I just looked him up to be sure and I think he'd be pretty hard pressed to pass a USADA test. Lol

I'm guessing there just aren't any official details on that fight. He has a few wins at 0:00 too, according to Fight Finder.

If you looked through Google Image, there is a Jiri Prochazka who is some other dude. The fighter COULD be on something, but he doesn't really strike me as a guy who is.

Krylov is not with UFC since like 1,5 year

The 0:00 is set when the finish time is not known (or somebody was too lazy to search)

They need some more time to develop I guess.

If you remember from the 2000s era, all top LHWs were well known, had unique personalities, and were just more memorable overall.

Don't forget all those a-level athletes, that will be seeing mma is bigger than soccer any minute now.

You wanna watch out for
Rakic
Stosic
Reyes
Cutelaba
Medifield

This dude looks like a killer,

Yup. this is where the UFC is fucking up big time. they keep the same guys in the top of the divisions (rankings) and by the time these relative unknowns make a name they've already aged. A loss gets them lost in the mix, while the top 10 can keep fight each other indefinitely.

Another problem is having too many people on the roster they cant sort the shit out properly. Anyways, glad to see Ion back in the cage. Rant over.

They're trying to set up a fight between Jiri and Crocop on NYE. Crocop was supposed to fight the other day, wrecked his knee. He is saying, yet again, that his next fight is his last. He has two lines of thinking for his retirement fight: Fedor rematch, or a young up and comer. Fedor is actually a possibility, since he is with Bellator, but odds are that Crocop fights Jiri. Jiri has a bone structure meant for fighting, and a long reach. Crocop is one of his heroes. That would be a fun fight if it happens, and a symbolic "passing of the torch." I'm down. Jiri is only 25, has only been to a decision once in 21 fights, and has 18 wins by (T)KO. Definitely someone to keep an eye on in the future.

Jiří is 100 percent clean. And he is not big muscle guy. Just look ať his photos. You can get body like that after few years in gym..

A bunch of those guys have .500 records in the UFC. They won't be around in a few years, they're terrible.
