Heres a throwback video of the last time I did mitts with Floyd Sr., in 2014.. Damn time has flown from these injuries!! Quite saddening to me, but hey you gotta do what you gotta do to protect your body and hands.

I had my TFCC tear surgery in October on my right hand, and after 12 weeks of physical therapy among other obstacles I just got cleared to train again this week, however my left hand, which is the hand I originally had problems with is still bothering me.. My right hand feels good, 95% of the way there and I'm assuming its only going to get better. My left hand though, it's been 2 years since I've injured the tfcc in that one and I never got surgery, I just took conservative methods to try and heal it. I believe it has healed wrong and theres something in there still bothering me which is seriously disheartening. I've returned to full training as per instructions of my doctor after getting 2 cortisone shots in both my wrists. He wants an update 6 weeks from now on how my hands are doing, and so far my right feels good and my left is sore, so more than likely I'm gonna end up getting surgery on my left hand (hopefully not!!) and be out for another 3 months.

2 full years off due to hand injuries smh.. Luckily I'm young and this hasn't discouraged me at all. At the end of it all I'm going to have 2 completely new hands and I just need to take care of them better this time around.

Anyway, I haven't changed much from the mitts video in terms of technique, so let me know if theres anything I can work on and what you think!

Keep your head up and enjoy training.

What's TFCC btw (pardon my ignorance)

wow you are amazing dude. I wish I was doing boxing or martial arts when I was your age.

Triangular Fibro-Cartiladge Complex , basically holds ur two bones together at the wrist.

Interesting.....What are the symptoms?

A few years ago, I got hit in the wrist (around where the funny bone that sticks out) by someone way heavier. It folded up my wrist pretty good. It's never been the same since. Effectively I just have physio and massages and it just feels, to this day, weird

Pain when rotating the wrist, and pain on the pinky side of the wrist are the most common symptoms. If you put pressure on your wrist with your palm facing up, and get a pain in the pinky side of your wrist, that's usually a good sign that its a tfcc problem, and clicking when rotating the wrist.

F***. Pretty much describes my left wrist. What've you done to to fix it up?

I've basically just accepted it, trained on it and hoped for the best

Well, as you can tell from my opening post, my left hand simply never got better. After one year of conservative use, and physical therapy, its maybe 90% of the way good, and will be a problem i'm going to have to deal with surgically at some point most likely.

My right wrist was torn very bad from a single punch, to where I could not rotate my hand at all. I had to get immediate surgery on that one and then almost a year of rehab for it to be about 95% now, but only getting better, one day it will be 100% I believe.

Most parts of the tfcc have zero healing potential, and the only way to fix it is through surgery. I hope that is not what you have, because the rehab and just the whole process in general is a pain in the ass.

The "good" thing I guess is I still have use. Some days it feels weak but I just write it off to normal wear and tear. But yeah, I get what you say about no healing potential. All it's done in about 3 years I think is hurt less on occassion
