Well they were going to kill his defacto daughter in the hope of figuring out what to do. Very low chance of success there and just outright sacrificing her. Are you a dad? I’d burn the whole city down
I didnt get the impression that it was such low odds of working, but maybe youre right on that.

No Im not a dad, but I think that plays into the comment I made that the show has not done enough to make Ellie such a likeable protagonist that I would side with emotion over logic.

Every single piece of logic sides with ellie being sacrificed to save the world and the fact the fireflies informed joel and spared his life multiple times at the end of season 1 while also sparing ellie and the other girl at the beginning of season 2, meanwhile joel and ellie have the kill everyone approach makes it really hard for me to root for ellie and hope she kills abby and all her cohorts.

That was the best episode of the season. S2 has experienced a deep drop in quality for me, and it has zero to do with casting or the idiots crying woke. But got damn did this episode hit the feels. It was done incredibly well. A lot of loud moments amid the silence. Pedro is the best part of this show and he showed out here.

The 'lol' definitely means I'm gotten to, Albert, lol.

It's clearly the other way around, bud.
I'm upset by how much inferior the show is to the game when it doesn't have to be. But dopes like you will play defense by equating criticisms of the show to misogyny, homophobia, racism, etc. You seem to be enjoying the show. If this is what you're into, more power to ya:

How tf does a chick dump the jacked handsome asian chad for bella ramsey??? This shows really going all in on the asians-dudes-are-unfuckable stereotype huh?

That last episode was really well acted, moving and well written. Fuck the retarded grifting Youtubers.

They just need content for clicks and this show is just next in line.

This show is good.

Luckily this season ends next week. The first season was absolutely fantastic, but season 2 has been a big disappointment. Episode 2 with the zombie attack was the highlight of an otherwise boring defiant teenager I do what I feel like melodrama. After Joel's death, the enthusiasm disappeared for my own part.

Since I have had a deep interest in what is happening over in the USA over the last couple of months via various media channels on Youtube, I am surprised that Ellie, at 19, does not behave like a normal girl of that age. Instead, she reminds me of Donald Trump. Both are controlled and listen only to their own impulses. And my conclusion is that Bella and Trump are mentally disturbed.

Spoiled as we are today, there are many other things to choose from. A series that beats season 2 of The last of us on all fronts is The Eternaut. Watch this and enjoy.

Meh. Honestly it just felt like a scene from The Walking Dead.

Every show thinks they have to do this type of graphic killing of main characters just because of Game of Thrones.
Yeah but there are so few characters the audience are invested in. That is what really hurts the show. There's not much left after they killed him.

Just my opinion, so superfans don't get butthurt, but this show just won't survive without Pedro. It needs Joel. Without him, it turns into a Zombie Gilmore Girls with angsty lesbian teens. This last episode was good, but this is not like GOT killing off Ned Stark. That world was huge, this one is not. Ellie can't hold the show solo. Most of us watched the show for him.

This episode did kind of fill in the relationship a bit. Probably should’ve done this more in season one. I can tell you that if someone fucks with your kid like this it’s gloves off and Joel survived on the road for among time. He’d be tough to put down. Ellie is supposed to be trained by him and Tommy is just as salty. They haven’t done a good job showing that. I’m not sure how they’re going to develop that because the timeline they just laid out doesn’t allow for it. Tommy can still show up but Ellie doesn’t have the experience from what they wrote so far.

Is this good? It came up in my feed. It’s the kind of stuff I like. I’m on an apocalypse binge at the moment. Foreign films are fucking awful mainly. Busan was good until the ending. The crying was terrible acting. Otherwise great film

I wouldn't be surprised if they only had two seasons in mind, since they're basically doing a one-for-one with the the games.

It was really good. The series only has 6 episodes but they have really managed to create something fantastic with so few episodes. Do as I did and watch it without knowing anything more than that it is about a disaster of some kind. You will also be surprised as what is served in the first episodes only gets bigger and bigger after that.

Since it was so good I took the time to find out where the story comes from. An Argentinian comic book from the 50s where the creators did not know at the time how popular it was in the big cities of South America when they closed the project. Apparently there are posters and graffiti of the cover all over the continent to this day.

Edit. There's a second season coming.
