Do you stay on the outside and get your eye poked and your knees kicked in
    OR

Do you run up on jones and get tossed and hellbowed into ground beef?

It's kinda pick your poison but what do you think DC chooses? Will he rush right in and take jones at the eye of the hurricane or will he hangout on the outside and look for openings? I really hope he runs right at jones and tries to do damage there early

Regardless of who wins, a DC slam the way he did Barnett needs to happen.

don't you do this analysis with every fight? weigh strenghts and weaknesses and decide how the should gameplan? if not, you should.

without the hyperbole jones-wank, of course.

or are you more the "me like fight. me like punch. guy punch guy. me like watch" type of fan?

tell me TS, what should Burkman do to win? how about Marquardt?

He'll probably rush in on Jon and try to outmuscle him from the start. Don't see him having a lot of success with this gameplan in the later rounds when he starts to tire.

Well one solution is to be 6'5 Swede with good footwork and boxing. Im not sure if DC will be able to pull that off.

    Throw some overhand punch/takedown combos.

It will happen, and Jones will try to grab the cage to stop the slam.

This one is easy, for both:

Punch harder than the other guy.

I can tell you exactly how this fight is going to play out.

DC is going to close the distance, clinch with Jones often. Here it will be a neutral game for the most part. Jones will land a knee occasionally, DC an uppercut. DC will change levels every once in awhile, but will be unsuccessful on the vast majority of his takedown attempts. As the fight goes on Jones will land the better and better strikes on the feet and avoid the clinch progressively more. He may cut DC too. In the end Bones wins 3-4 rounds.

For DC there is no doubt number 2 is his best shot.

Standing on the outside with Jones doesn't work unless you're Gus. DC needs to close the distance and take him down, even if he eats a few elbows doing so. Fighting JJ like Rashad and Rampage did won't work.
