If your restaurant is shitty, social media won't make it better - it'll just tell everyone how shitty it is.

People still aren't getting it.

Acceptable classism. Actually being glad she's dead is ok?

This is something I never get. People who claim that yelp and shit has basically killed the restaurant/eating out market. If the food didnt fucking suck you wouldnt have that problem.

no matter how ugly and disgusting the internet can be sometimes, it must always remain free.

people who question that deserve to be lager victims.

Free to what degree? To the degree that illegal content [and I don't mean your tv shows, movie etc, im talking pedo shit] should be allowed to be hosted?

I have no qualms about Pedo's getting their shit traced and details leaked everywhere but any government can go fuck themselves if they even think about what the FCC is doing or failtastic filters like the UK government tried to put in

Who the hell looks at online reviews anyways? They are always half positive reviews solicited by the owner and made by their friends and family, and half bad reviews from rival businesses or shitty people who probably got bad service because they were being and pain in the ass and exaggerate how bad it was because they are riled up and trying to get revenge. Nobody ever goes and has a good meal and says "Wow, that was slightly above average! I better hurry onto Yelp and give this place 3 1/2 stars!"

I really only trust a review if the person has some semblance of credibility like a well established food blog.

If it has details that have validity sure but most people are just hate mongers spewing out nonsense with no clarity to match their intelligence thus the nonsense should be blocked. :icon_lol:

A politician is murdered and there's people that think others should be upset about it? Only another politician would consider that a good reason to implement censorship.

The problem with this line of thinking is that it's a double edged sword.

Once you start criminalizing personal thoughts and fantasies, where is the line drawn?

Furthermore, I'm skeptical when it comes to the whole "Child porn on the PC" thing. Who's to say the government, particularly the NSA can't frame you and send you a virus with that on your PC?

It's dangerous to a free society.

Reminds me of the politician in AZ that almost died, and innocent civilians did die.

Politicians sign the most draconian of laws, sending young kids to die in war, and then when one of their lives is threatened we're suppose to act as if they're some celebrity innocent of blowback? If we actually lived in a society that took responsibility for ones actions, acting the way our politicians have acted these past 12 years in regards to their voting history and backroom deals which took the wealth and the lives of others would have made being a politician the most dangerous job in this country BAR NONE.

There's several politicians here in Canada whose brutal murder would elicit a celebration of sorts from me. I wouldn't post anything on social media because I don't have any, just my good old Sherdog account and if there was a thread I would probably post some corny gifs. Honestly I have no sympathy for some of these scumbag politicians if bad things start coming their way. Of course I would never advocate violence against them...just maybe celebrate it after the fact.
