These 'athletes' make our sport look bushleague. Their athleticism is non-existent. Their gas tanks? What gas tanks? Skill? Psh. We just watched two obese men do very poor kickboxing. We need more athletes like Francis Ngannou to give this division some actual legitimacy.

HW division is good for one thing - first round knockouts. Other than that, it has little to offer.

Maybe people like it because it's most similar to real life fights in that they don't have the endurance to last more than a couple minutes and their athletic abilities are extremely limited so you're just seeing wild slugging, which I would assume is what most casual fans think fighting consists of or is most relatable to their own abilities/knowledge.

A multiple time world kickboxing champion "did poor kickboxing". Ok. DL is 300 lbs, throwing switch kicks.

    What is with you people?

These threads happen once-twice a year....shouldn't be a huge revelation about the HWs anymore. It is what it is.

Exactly. Quite frankly Lewis showed some outstanding athleticism, and Hunt is always fast as shit with amazing cardio for a 270 lb guy

Heavyweight was my favorite division during the Pride years in its heyday. Sad that some 14 years later those fighters are not only NOT retired but top 5 to 10!!! Today. Where is the new blood???

Yeah, fuck you TS. I usually like your posts but right now you just sound fucking stupid. If you ever got hit by a guy that big you'd eat the canvas after the first punch. A flyweight? Probably not, unless you're an underweight manlet.

Lewis had a back injury, he threw all he could at Hunt before the adrenaline wore off, but Hunt is a tank. This isn't the NFL or NBA where guys can get a toradol and lidocaine shot, and then can eat a bunch of vicodin to get out there, there is drug testing.

    ?

The sport is bushleague, it doesn't just take the HW division to show you that.
