    -800 Faber

Getting higher than that level is hard because this is MMA its one guy Vs one guy for example Sonnen almost beat Jones.

Sonnen had a way better chance against Jones than Alex does against Faber.

With Jones there was the small chance Sonnen's pressure/wrestling might give him some trouble.

I literally see nothing Alex can do that would trouble Faber. I mean Faber could probably tear his ACL in the first round and still beat Alex. He nearly beat Brown with two broken hands.

He had a better chance but not much better.

    Anything can happen.

Faber is a very experienced so stupid mistake are unlikely but maybe he gets hurt early, maybe he doesn't come into the fight healthy.

Have you seen Alex fights? He could probably land 5 flush head kicks in a row and not rock Faber. Dude does not hit hard at all and combined with Fabers chin random TKO is almost impossible in this fight. 37 fights and never submitted, so I don't think Faber will be submitted here. How in gods name does he win a decision?

I'm well aware of the fact it's MMA and anything can happen. Which is why I put the odds at roughly 22-1 giving Alex about 4.5% chance for some kind of miracle to happen like in the first round Faber tears both his acl's, breaks both hands, and loses a split decision.

Seriously looking at this fight I can't imagine how Alex can win.

Even in fights like Serra vs GSP, Jones vs Chael, Ronda vs Carmouche, there are at least possible paths to victory for the underdog. I see none here for Alex.

Mayyyyybbbeee kick and run but yea not gonna happen.

I'll be betting on Alex. I'll be rich, he's the real thing! Did you see what he did to the great Sergio Pettis? Sergio is the best, he is the brother the UFC Champ who did the Showtime kick, and he got his ass whooped by Alex. I'm telling you Alex Caceres will be the future champ and will challenge Aldo to become a 2 weight division champ.

What I am saying is that by the nature of the game every fighter has a chance.

MMA isn't like a team sport where the vastly better team can suffer a freak injury and just replace that person. One freak injury and you lose.

I honesttly believe if I fought Faber 100 times I could win 1, not because I am anything close to the fighter he is, but simply by him twisting a knee, dislocating a shoulder, or some other random occurence that simply can not be ruled out.

Now Alex is a thousand times the fighter I am, just like every other fighter in the UFC is, so when a top 20 guy is facing a top 2 guy even if the top 20 guy has no way they can actively win the fight they can always win by default (injury).

As an example, my baseball team could play a million games Vs some unknown rep team and we would never win a single one.
But if its me Vs a pro fighter I would certainly win one in say a thousand not through my doing but just from freak injury.

Wait, Caceres is fighting Faber? Holy hell, poor guy is going to get destroyed. I am trying to think but even while stoned I do not see any logic in this match. Did Caceres piss someone off?

Sports books try to get similar amounts of money bet on either side. Odds aren't meant to even out based on $100 bet on either side. It would take some very serious adds to get most bettors to place a wager on Caceras and steep odds the other way to keep people from putting money on Faber.

Fabers 35 and he's been beaten up badly a few times. He's gonna go quick when he starts...that said my guess at the opening line would be Faber -600 leeroy +550

Faber rules non-title fights. I expect around -650 Faber at least.

    1. Faber coming off loss.
    2. Alex coming off 4 wins. (Arguably 7)
    3. BW isn't the deepest division.
