Werdum, I guess. IMO Nog is #2 HW all-time and Werdum #3 but Nog was an interim champion.

I voted Werdum.

Nog was a deteriorated version of himself when he became UFC champ and I couldn't justify voting for Randy when the real heavy weight champ was in Pride during his runs.

Cain is winning the poll, but I don't get it. His run as HW champ was one of the worst and most annoying. He got KO'd by JDS and kept remtaching JDS and Big Foot. Kept getting injured. Cain's run is so overrated.

Limited to the UFC only?

Werdum* = Greatest HW to ever be UFC Champ
Velsaquez = Greatest HW as UFC Champ

*If you include "Interim" Champs then it's Minotauro

P.S.

You either have to say tim or randy in terms of accomplishment and longevity. All these noobs basing it off 1 or 2 fights. Ex: werdum, cain, brock. Give me a break

There's seriously not one of them who's had a reign lasting for more than a couple of fights.

Nogueira is the most accomplished fighter to become UFC HW champion.
Werdum follows closely behind him.

I voted Couture. He won the title 3 times and defended it 3 times. Doesn't mean much though, because the best HWs were over in Japan at the time. Sylvia was pretty good as well, but he pissed hot and lost to Couture in a title fight.

If we're talking who is the most skilled HW to fight in the UFC, I'd say Werdum.

Defended once against Frank pleeeeease..!!!!

If it's just best with the belt it could be different. But the question is so vague. I just mean best UFC career that won the belt.

Big Nog ,Fedor ,they successfully defended more the once .....Sure it was in Pride but they faced stronger competition ....UFC had a crap HW roster back then .....Cain cant stay healthy ???? HW needs a MCgregor .......

How would having someone who won't defend the belt once they get it help the division?

I'll give you a break...

Velsaquez:
4 yrs 7 mos from winning Title to last losing it (incld injury stints)
5 Title fight wins
1 Loss

Sylvia:
3 yrs 9 mos from winning Title to last losing it (incld suspensions)
5 Title fight wins
2 Losses

Edit: Randy's HW reign is strange...
Won HW Title in 1997, left the UFC within a year & lost twice
Won HW Title in 2000, left the UFC in a few months & lost again
Won HW Title in 2001, left HW Div in 2 yrs, after losing twice
Won HW Title in 2007, lost in 2008

Randy:
4-5 yrs from winning Title to last losing it (excld time not UFC/HW)
6 Title fight wins
2 Losses (UFC-HW)... 5 Losses (HW)... 8 Losses (overall)

Voted Brock just because. No one really stands out to me.

Even though he hasn't defended it yet, I think I have to go with Werdum. Has any other fighter beaten Cain AND Fedor in his career?

So you opted out Smith for interim champs Nog and Carwin?

Nog interim title was basically a belt.

No reason why fighters should be fighting over interim belts
Multiple times like Nog.

Couture was gonezo
