Whether you root for GSP or not, he silenced critics and used a measured attack to outclass his opponent. Not only did he prove Diaz didn't belong in the fight, but he gave Nick and his fans exactly what they wanted. GSP spent almost half the bout on his feet, trading shots and testing his chin. As it turns out, Diaz was the one who didn't show up to "fight." After 3 rounds of domination, Nick showed zero urgency and a complete lack of heart. Instead, he resorted to walking around with his hands down, trash talking, and throwing cheap shots after the bell. Nick proved once again why he's a black eye on the sport of MMA and deserves minimal respect as a martial artist, and even less as a human being. GSP continues to be an honorable ambassador for our beloved sport and a serious threat to anyone (lookin at you Silva). Whether you like him or not, the champ earns respect. And if you're a Diaz fan, man up and admit your boy let you down big time.
Said it before and I'll say it again, Nick's been figured out. His run at the upper echelon was short-lived and sadly, damaged most by his incredibly confusing, short-sighted, hood mentality. So, I repeat this with pride... The good guy won tonight.
