So if Conor loses he can still fight for the title at 155. Plus they get to hype up Conor going up 2 weight classes.

It's all marketing and protecting Conor.

The one who does not fall, doesn't stand up, Joe.

It also sets him up for lawler if he does good at 170, then heavyweight for ronda

No matter how you slice it, he last fought at 145 and Nate will weigh more than him on fight night

Isn't Conor somewhere in the 180s? (I read 183 the other day). If so, I wouldn't expect Nate to be more than that. GSP only weighed around 188 for most of his fights

Marketing or not, Conor will be fighting a opponent bigger then him, and with less stress to make weight on short notice.

The situation helps Nate.

According to their coaches, Conor is about 6-7 lbs heavier than Nate.

I doubt he'll ever fight in that division considering how much he gained weight. Maybe he'll manage to defend the title once more.

He brings millions of dollars daily to the firm... of course they'll use him heavily while he's in momentum. What do you think of that?

Protecting him by letting his opponent weigh in heavier?

It's a strategy that makes sense. Why are people so hurt about this though? Who cares if he didn't fight Khabib or Frankie this time around? He'll fight them eventually, and I like where this fight could take him if he wins.

I sure hope it's to set him up versus Lawler. Sometimes it's fun to watch one fighter freakishly smash another. Lawler would crush him...I don't care how fast Conor is, nor how perfect his technique is. I'm calling it now, IF they ever fight, Lawler will leave Conor in a bloody heap, unconscious on the canvas. There are weight classes for reasons. Lawler is naturally much bigger than Conor, and he's an absolute animal in the cage.

Yeah the guy that always shows up for his fights, is going up 2 weight classes and knocks out everyone is being protected.

I don't see the UFC being audacious enough to give Conor a title shot at 155 if he loses tbh.

They offered Nate 155 you fucking idiot. Or are you saying Nate is in on this conspiracy too?
