The easiest way to solve the judging problem.

Another way would be for the "judge" to explain how they scored the fight.

Make the judges accountable for the decisions they make.
Don't understand why they can't write notes of why they scored it 10-9

Judges should also use letter grades, interpretive dance, and paintings.

No judges, every fight goes on until someone submits or gets finished

Unless a guy like BJM with some say wants to change the criteria, the 10-point boxing, this is how it's gonna be. Very difficult parameters for often inexperienced people to work with.

Of course if they'd have former pro fighters and coaches only the results would be better. Really regardless of criteria. Competence shows.

They could also show cards in between rounds. There needs to be clarity.

Also as said ITT the UFC would've done something about it, like with the sudden omission of some refs, if they cared enough.

Judges should watch the fight with television. No commentating to influence them, tho.

5 judges who need to be separated and unable to communicate. If a judge is caught on their phone souring the fight they shouldn’t be welcome back.

Brilliant in theory, but imagine some of the fights we’ve had where both guys are gassed. No to mention trying to work a broadcast around that kind of unpredictability.

Judging will always be a problem in MMA/Boxing unfortunately

Use ex-fighters only as judges not old bags and sissy men.

Problem solved.
A lot of fighters aren’t good analysts, in fact a lot of them have really shit takes on the sport. Fighting doesn’t mean you can judge others, or else you would be a coach/trainer. A lot of professional fighters even think Holloway beat Volkanovski in their rematch, when it’s obvious Volk won.

The easiest way to solve the judging problem would be to let 5 judges judge the fight instead.
This is a good idea. But I feel like there could be some kind if point system, where if you judge different than your peers enough times, your position goes under review. If the judges were held more accountable, we wouldn't need 5 of them.

Regardless of poor judging, this would be a good idea so they can finally figure out what a 10-8 round is.

People say this all the time as if athletes and fighters don't assume roles other than fighting after their career and they aren't bad at it. Being a good fighter wouldn't make you a good ref or judge or corner man or any other role that goes into fighting. and there are a lot of psychological factors that could easily make a former fighter BAD at those roles.

Every decision needs to be audited by an independent board. If the board finds a judges decision to be questionable, said judge needs to provide a written justification for their choices. Also, being held accountable for bad scoring would be good.

Judge is the major problem in MMA !!!!

Oooohhhhh great idea. Lets just wait another 15-25 minutes for the results?

mckenna won that fight--people always freak out when a fighter they wanted to win loses a close fight..yall dont know how to judge and you get too lost in the score cards. they(the judges) dont go by the rules idiots they judge the fight then fill in the blanks..get over it.. i have no problem with the scores and im not alone. speaking about the last card

is to don't make the decision immediately after the fight end. Let the judge rewatch it then they can make the decision.
I think you have to answer this question before you decide if that would be better or not. If a judge has a bias to one fighter, do you think giving them a chance to revise their original scoring would lessen that bias or simply give them a chance to justify their bias?

If it becomes a boring gassed out shit show, the ref can KO both fighters and it's a double loss?

5 judges and accountability. If one judge throws out a whacky score then they need to be able to talk everyone through their decision. It's so stupid that these judges seem to have immunity with any score
