the downside to lightweight ripstop gi pants

I've noticed that with white ripstop pants. I'm probably one of the few ppl not completely sold on ripstop. I have a pair of blue Atama's that are fine but I don't really like the way they feel when wet. Luckily, they don't stay wet very long. Overall, I prefer really light cotton pants to ripstop.

but seriously, a guy at my gym snagged one of those 100% pure ripstop Kauai gi's, and after 30 mins of drilling, we could see through the entire damn thing. He doesnt wear rashguards, so the jacket was also sticking to him like crazy. looked pretty miserable all the way around lol.
