Woot, lots of fellow ny'ers. My log for teammates to stick their head into. http://www.sherdog.net/forums/f49/id-rather-laugh-sinners-than-cry-saints-2332105/
Welcome, teammate. I think you could possibly be MVP with noob gains if you keep up your workouts and log and everything. I checked out your squat video in your log, and noticed your back is rounding when you squat down. You have good depth and hip movement, but your back is actively bending forward. Really concentrate on keeping your set up tight and back flat.
Welcome! 3 of us from this team already know each other. You're always welcome to come train with our team at New Paltz. I like the team names. Except for the second one...I don't even warm up with anyone's warm ups.
I took the advice given in my log and ditched the shoes last week and it seemed to help everything feel smoother. Will get a new video on Fri. Will also get a DL video tomorrow for some help and advice.
Mere details, never let the truth move you off course of the objective. We must break the other teams wills before they even begin
I'm not sure it's listed in my profile but I'm also a NY-er. Starting Maxes: Dead: 365lbs OHP: 135lbs--to be honest I can't promise too much on this lift. I have a bad shoulder that never healed right from an injury 9 years ago and anything overhead is hard for me. But I'll bring the heat with my deadlift and add at least 50lbs. I'll post some team name ideas tonight after a few NYE drinks. Then apologize tomorrow.
Looks like we have THE team. Lets kick some ass! I move that our log/team be a tribute to Jon Pall, a guy who loved the deadlift, and died while deadlifting. In fact I am going to watch larger than life today. Happy new year. deadlift 170kg strict press 55kg.
Hey everyone. Just got in from a great NYE, my numbers are deadlift 175kg, SOHP 55kg. Hoping for at least 10kg on both of these.
If you want the music and chick pictures, they're in my log. No point cluttering this thread up with my vices.
Thanks to all who have checked in and given me your numbers. The OP has been updated. Fine with me to do the tribute. Is that the guy who said, "There is no reason to be alive if you can't deadlift?" Kind of ironic.
