"The Day She Makes the Weight, That Fight is On."

Ronda has fought at 145 before and competed at 150 in Judo before.

Cyborg has never fought at 135 before.

they can meet at 140 but Ronda won't even do that. If you don't think Ronda is afraid of Cyborg you're delusional.

It's like Jones calling out Struve to fight at 205. IT CANNOT HAPPEN AND HE KNOWS IT.

Why? Cyborg is only 1 inch taller and her boobs are smaller. Is she scared to fight at 135?

And her first fight ever was against a fighter who fights at 125 lbs.

So she's fought at 135lbs.

What's that pic supposed to prove? She's wearing the SF 145 lb. belt there.

Why not just make a 145lbs division? it just makes logical sense....make money from Cyborg instead of having her sit at home a d train all day. 2 belts better than one. More money for everyone, less risk of losing/reputations.

Why do people expect the UFC to make a new weight class for this fight? Either you make weight in an existing division or you don't fight. End of debate. The belt is the 135 pound championship belt, that means you have to weigh 135 pounds to win it. Why would Ronda fight in a non title defense catch weight match? She has a good chance at cementing her legacy as the greatest female fighter ever and title defenses are part of that legacy. Catch weight matches against fighters who were awesome 5 years ago are not part of that legacy.

145lbs division has been around alot longer than 135...even if they never fight, it just makes sense to add a division.

You guys are forgetting that Honda can beat Cain...under the right circumstances. However, she refuses to fight another woman of the same weight essentially...hahahahaha. I guess Cyborg>Cain under any circumsances lol...it's true you silly wabbits.
Anyone could beat Cain "under the right circumstances". Like for instance if he was hog tied behind his back with a blind fold and ear plugs and his opponent gets weapon of their choosing.

She claims her next fight is at 140. It's a step in the right direction, but it's still not 135....

It's unprecedented that a fighter would call out someone to drop weight. If you have something to prove you step UP and challenge the champ above you. Rhonda would destroy cyborg at 145 imo, but she's acting scared.

It doesn't even have to be a title fight, make it a "superfight" at the 140lb catch weight.

Ronda will get the biggest payday of her career and put any doubts to bed about who the best female fighter is

Yes, it will be the biggest payday of her career. But lets not rush it, cuz it could be her last. Let her get as many fights as she can, cuz who would fight Rowdy after she defeats Cyborg at 140. It will be impossible for her to find opponents where she could sell the fight.

Except Ronda isn't calling Cyborg out, but the other way around. All of Ronda's quotes about Cyborg come after a reporter brings up Cyborg or in response to tweets calling out Ronda.

I've never seen DW so one-sided about the weight a superfight takes place at.

Or at high elevation.

If Dana/Ronda had any confidence at all she would beat Cyborg they would do it at 140.

Definitely right but also doesn't make sense to have a fighter that can't make weight in any division. What does the ufc do with cyborg then? Start a whole new weight class? 135 is already super shallow.

If they make the catch weight fight and Ronda loses they end up with a freak show fighter without a weight class, a champion whose title is devalued because she just got beat, and a big loss for one of their biggest stars. Could cost them millions.

Bs they are both calling each other out, only difference is that cyborg is asking her to step up, which is precedented, especially considering that cyborg was the p4p best before Rhonda even had her first fight.

Srl was a much bigger star than hagler, yet he wouldn't dream of asking him to drop weight, he understood that was a coward move.

How can you consider someone p4p best if they refuse to fight someone just because they're 10 lbs heavier? P4p best should be able to handle a one weight class difference. I can't imagine cyborg refusing a big money fight at 155.

They don't have a division for Cyborg to fight in if she won. If she can't make 135 there are no other fights for her in the UFC. If Ronda loses they need it to be against someone that can then continue to fight in the UFC.

The fact that it would be at a catch weight with someone who has tested positive for PEDs in the past gives them 2 built in excuses for a loss.

Pretty much every big combat sports draw in history has taken a loss in their career and the majority have been able to sustain popularity and even gain popularity after.

The world wouldn't end with a loss for Ronda. I don't even think she would lose either.

The difference is that Ronda fights in the UFC in a division that exists in the UFC.

But what does anyone but cyborg have to gain? There is no value in this match at 140 for Ronda or the UFC.

According to most sources 80+% of fighters are on PED's. If fighters lost all their rights because of PED use, there would be no fighters left. Her positive test is ancient history, and should not be continually brought up as an excuse for not making match ups, etc.
