The curious case of Jacare

Jacare is an interesting guy in the MW division. He was one of the most hyped fighter's up until his TKO loss to Whitaker, who soon became champ. After Jacare lost, people were talking about him like an old has-been, yet he's 8-2 in the UFC with his only other loss coming by split to Romero.
I'm hard pressed to find many examples (Ngannou, Lesnar are a few) of a guy who goes from unbeatable monster in a division to not being talked about.
Now with this win over Brunson he's back in talks again as a serious contender.
Considering that Whitaker might be out A LOOOOONG TIME, who does Jacare fight next???

Gastleum will lose to jacare..i admit i was surprised how well hes been at mw gas ..but jacare wont make the same mistake as hes other opponents who have all tried to bang him out of there thinking hes some ww.. i see jacare backing him up agaisnt the fence getting the takedown and just letting gastleum roll himself into a gift wrapped armbar or choke lol.. . If they stand not sure what will happen..but jacare is a big guy..

There was a while where there were so many mw who deserved a title shot. He wound up taking a loss at that time and got screwed with the way things went down.

He for sure is one of the best and is a threat to any mw out there.

Actually he wasn't hyped despite being a great fighter with power and exciting fights. That's why he wasn't given a TS. Instead of waiting he went the brave route that some fans claim to prefer only to discredit him completely after he got tkoed.

Idk about that, imo jacaré beats him everywhere, out of a lucky punch both can land. Jacare has had his share of shadows of Brazilian former stars by winning when they are old, but - even though again it would be the case - this time he loses

#8 Brunson was the first top 10 MW he's beaten in the UFC since Gegard Mousasi in 2014 lol

He loses to the elites at MW like Romero, Rockhold, and Whittaker. He isn't getting passed any of those guys.

Jacare is a top dog, whichever way you try to sing the story.

We wait for his next fight....I really underestimated him for this one.

He lost a split to Romero who lost to Whittaker. Then he lost to the champ Whittaker. Those are his only two losses in the UFC. Before that he lost a decision to Kennedy years ago
