The culture of the instant

People are desperate for someone interesting at HW.

It's easy to go on a small streak as a hard hitting HW but eventually the lack of skills catch up to you at the top level.

Lewis looked great until Hunt and Cormier.
Roy Nelson looked great until JDS, Werdum, and Mir.
Tai was looking good until Gane.
Carwin looked unbeatable until JDS (and the Lesnar gassing).

Sergei's been looking good but as people already Said, he got smoked by Overeem and would likely lose to Ngannou, Gane, Blaydes, and Aspinall. But you never know.

I will admit, he beat perhaps the two most overrated fighters on the entire roster in any division, but he starched them with ease.

Dude is looking like a legit killer, Tai’s best skill is his toughness so to run thru him like that in the first is pretty impressive even though skill for skill he isn’t in pavlovichs realm.

Getting pumped about the prospect of a fighter is what makes the sport so fun

Why do people get hyped over a win over Tuivasa...?
It's the way he did it. Beating Tai (and BB for that matter) usually involves some technical maneuvering, a lot of discipline, maybe some wrestling... Pavlovich did what you're not supposed to do, walked up to their faces and got them out of there. That's damn impressive in its own way. Not saying he's the new big thing. I think he loses to Gane, Blaydes, Ngannou and Aspinall.

Been here long enough to know that half the stuff here is trolling lol
