A very popular joke, for quite a few years now, has been "you sound poor". While I understand the mocking and humor of the joke, I have never felt comfortable laughing at it.

I make good money, but in my mind, I will always be poor.

I am on team poor people, not as their defender, not as their white knight, but because I know I am not a rich person, and our middle class is in its death throws.

There is a class war in the United States. It is the intellectual, political, and moneyed elites, vs everyone else. Unfortunately many useful idiots will defend team 'elite', so I just wanted to know, which side are you on?

- Which side do you want to be on? -
Is a better question.

While I’m not poor I’ll probably never be rich, it’s not something I’m interested in pursuing with the limited time of my
Life.

So I guess I’m team poor people.

Rich people are generally assholes anyways.

Yet, you support Trump? Which side is he on?

I define my sense of wealth by how unburdened I am, and money isn't nessecarily always a catylst for this.

Is It?

I want world peace, but if attacked by fascists or other versions of authoritarianism, my want for world peace is immaterial.

Neither. Dividing into tribe sides is just about a stupid of a thing as you can do.

That is the key to his 40% support.

You want to see that number go to sub 30%, you need to convince many of his supporters that he is not working for their interests.

Trumps campaign was effective. He convinced many, that he works for the people, and not the moneyed interests.

Seems mediation would be a better idea than segregation.

His actions are exactly the opposite of working for the people, how to break the spell he has over his supporters?

The elite class is doing the dividing. You can accept, or reject reality.

Also, how is 99.99% of the people a tribe?

Even 99.99% vs the 0.01% is still group division, hence tribalism. The thing is it is not 99.99% in a group that agree. Nor is it the elites that are doing the dividing. Not all the elites agree on everything. Right now it is the radical left and the far right that are doing it. You are falling right into that.

To me there are about 10 classes in the United States.

1. Super rich.-Bezos, Gates
2. Pretty fckn rich- CEO of fortune 500
3. Wealthy- Retire comfortably
5. Above middle class-drives a new Honda
6. Middle class (most of us) 50k a year
7.lower middle. You got Netflix, but going to a non chain food joint...nah.
8. You seem poor. Struggling to makes ends meet. 30 yr old working entry level job. Car title loans
9. Welfare- Goodwill is your spot.
10. Homeless.

Far from rich vs poor

I support policies that correct for the extreme imbalances that necessarily emerge from capitalism. That's not exactly a class war, but it might entail a labor war. Making that happen is mostly the responsibility of everyday people.

I believe the Democratic party and Republican party are the illusion of choice.

When people are being murdered by profiteering in medicine, I feel confident in saying, the 99.99% are not the ones doing the dividing. When wealth inequality has been rising for 50 years, that is not happenstance, but an attack, and again, the 99.99% are not the ones doing the dividing.

The 99.99% are powerless unless they can form a tribe, and collectively bargain.

We need to wake up to the fact that we are already at war, and have been getting our teeth kicked in because we are divided amongst the 99.99%.

Less Russia, more coverage on how AT&T engaged in bribery that is technically illegal, but near impossible to prove.

More coverage on how campaign finance is a threat to national security. From all nations, not just Russia.

Shining a light on Trumps Saudi and Israeli connections, and asking if our Iran policy is in this country's interests, or in the interests of Saudi Arabia and Israel.

First of all you make over 100k a year. You arn’t freaking poor unless you’re pretending to be rich and living beyond your means....

And yet, in 1975, what % of the population do you think fell into #3?

Also, had the % of people who were #3 been steadily growing for 35 years?
