The border wall.

They couldn't screw over their country unless the US gave them weapons and support. The coups start with the US, not the bad actors. A lot of the time these people leave the country, and are brought back by the US, post-coup in order to rule in our interests.

I guarantee that the vast majority of posters here, right or left, think your assessment of US intervention in the third world as abject lunacy.

Hope you feel the same if it happens to America one day.

And Iran? The people didn't have any desire for a coup, having overwhelmingly elected their leader. The coup only conveniently begins when Kermit Roosevelt starts his propaganda campaign and arming those in political opposition to the winning. Nation after nation, this happened.

And again, the death squads would have no means in which to carry out their campaigns in anywhere near approaching the scale they did without the US leadership funding, supporting and legitimizing them.

The coup starts with the US covertly planning coups, then undertaking them with arms, funding and propaganda campaigns. Hate to burst your bubble on this idiotic "They wanted a coup, the US just happened to be their" tripe, but US forces have intervened in foreign nations with out troops, attempting regime changes. But I guess that was the people's fault, too.

Border wall and the notion that Mexico would pay for it was a joke and non starer from the beginning. Only the true sheeple buy into this at all.

Come election time he will say the swamp in Washington wouldn't let him do it or some BS like that.
While simultaneously saying that he completely drained it

99/9% sure this is the user formerly known as Old Dirty Dipshit, or Blood and Renal Failure. The exact brand of willful credulity and childlike stupidity is ringing the same.

It's not possible to be defeated by an asinine proposition along the lines of "If they didn't want us to to use our overwhelming force and money to turn them against each other, they should've done something about it."

You'd make a fantastic Roman historian whose on the wrong side of every issue. Dipshitus.

Again, this does not negate a century long pattern of the US fomenting coups when our interests are threatened by a nation electing left wing leaders. The fact that nations can create coups all by themselves does zero in relation to explaining away the US' primary role in violently ousting democratically elected leaders across South, Central American, Africa, the Middle East and elsewhere.

There are literally dozens of cases of US interest being threatened, only for coups to pop up out of nowhere. Even when we know the causes of the coups, so often US intervention, direct or not, some of us, including you, still place the blame upon everything but the creators of the first cause.

Imagine celebrating people violating America’s sovereignty via illegal immigration, just to spite a President you don’t like.

It's not the populace of a country, it's bad actors we typically supported before they lost. And when they lost, we came in, armed them, trained them and fought with them to overthrow democratic elections, subsequently propping them up to serve our interests like vassal states. When the benevolent superpower swoops in and promises a select few power and promises armed support, how is it somehow on the people of that nation, and not on US leadership?

Imagine equating the recognition of an idiotic idea like Trump's wall with "celebrating people violating America’s sovereignty via illegal immigration"

Would hate to be that idiot. Wait.........

How is a border wall an idiotic idea?

Again, much of the time those who lost to left wing opposition left the country the lost in. There would be no coup, no mobilization unless the US swooped in, offering power and support for promises of future "cooperation".

There's not a single reputed political scientist, historian, ethicist or sociologist who would do anything but laugh at your asinine position, be it Rome or America.

How is a border wall an idiotic idea?

Because it's obscenely costly, can't be properly manned by the CBP that hasn't been able to staff itself despite massive funding packages for decades, would require ceding the Rio Grande, would be a patchwork at best, can be circumvented, and would require massive seizures of land from private business owners and citizens of the US.

And that's to say nothing about the fact that Trump and his people aren't doing shit about securing our ports of entries (where the majority of drugs enter) our anything related to VISA overstays, which is a continuing problem.

But hey, don't let me tell you to stop listening to people who employ illegals before telling you illegals are the scourge of the nation.

So, they caught one guy, so it's an effective tool, even though people have been sawing through the wall, and the video literally shows how fast someone can scale the fencing?

That reasoning seems..........specious.

One video with one guy getting over the wall who was apprehended. GTFO.

One video with one guy getting over the wall who was apprehended. GTFO.

Given the fact the CBP is incredibly understaffed, it seems quite obvious that video isn't very representative of the situation as a whole.

One way of many to get pass the border wall.
What a waste of money lol.

Maybe we need a higher wall? Or remote drones with machine guns to keep the flies off of it?

It's an obstacle. Meant to deter and to signify boundaries. That idiot climbing the wall knew exactly what he was doing. He didn't "easily" climb over it. It took time strength and skill not everyone has. Nobody is expecting the wall to be 100 percent effective but it servers it's purpose well. That doesn't change just because you found a video of 1 man climbing over it.
