The Blacklist with James Spader

I hear one of the characters is a vampire.

Yeah there was some odd plotholes, like "Here's what's gonna happen to this kid..." and they did nothing to counter her abduction, bothered me the whole episode.

They went and picked her up from dance class and were in a caravan to escort her to some safehouse when they got ambushed. It's not that they didn't do anything, it's that they tried and failed.

Spader was great. The focus on the female lead is very "Silence of the Lambs-ish". THe problem is that the female lead is completely forgettable.

I liked her and thought she did a great job. I like the characterization a lot, and it could've come off very contrived but she managed the (literally) scarred professional woman thing very well.

I'm really enjoying this show, Spader is fantastic.

Very slick, solid writing.

Does anyone care about the female lead on this show? It's all about Spader.

Why do writers create these unappealing characters. She has the depth of a Sears catalog model.

I think it's actually a pretty solid, interesting show and Spader is an extremely charismatic actor.

My only problem: If Spader's character keeps getting people caught (or kills them or whatever), isn't word going to spread that he's an informant. Pretty glaring plothole.

Spader is very compelling. Guest stars(villains) are decent but the entire supporting cast are utterly forgettable.

So I finally caught an episode , it was the one with Enslow and holy crap , Spader is head and shoulders above his co-stars , the monologue alone about how he wanted to experience peace again was worth the episode

I think they began dealing with that in the latest episode. And I suppose it would also depend on how much information a particular person has access to for them to realize that Reddington is taking out certain people now.

THE BLACKLIST Season 2 Trailer Promises War is Coming

Raymond Reddington faces some serious threats but remains as calm as ever in the new trailer for the second season of The Blacklist. He even sets off an explosive just for fun. The trailer shows Red preparing to face off against Lord Baltimore, as if Red didn't already have enough on his plate. Red also has a very tense conversation with the ever-elusive Berlin. "A war is coming," Red promises after explaining that Berlin hired a bounty hunter to track him down. The show's season-two premiere airs Sept. 22.

Anyone else watching this? I love it but I am disappointed now because I am caught up and binge watch it anymore. James Spader has done a phenomenal job in this show.

ya i watching love it so far wounder why she has behind that lock door

I've only caught the odd episode here and there, so I cannot judge the series as a whole. But from what I have seen, Spader kills it every time he's on screen.

My big problem with the Blacklist is that all episodes feel the same. I watched 5 or 6 episodes and they all feeled the same. So I stopped watching.

I have the same problem with Arrow. Those episodes also feel the same.

I watched also Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad and those episodes feel different. So I look forward to watching next episodes.

I watch it. Haven't watched the latest episode though.

Latest episode didn't have enough Reddington in it.

Has great guest baddies cast every week(Gale from Breaking Bad this week). Regular cast has upped their game, tbf but the guy who heads up the FBI Crew is a proper awful actor.

New Mossad chick addition is quality.

I like the show, I like the concept, I like the writing...but man it's tough to watch at times. Spader is just brilliant in it but watching a typical show is like watching him give a master class while everyone else around him is in a remedial junior high drama class. Megan Boone is easy on the eyes, but I think the show would have been much better off by casting an actress who is able to deliver some more gravitas to the scenes.

I feel the same, although I'm continuing to watch it for Spader.

I was just saying almost the exact same thing to someone the other day. It's like Spader is in the majors and everyone else is in Single A.

saw a commercial for it and i wanted to punch james spader square in the face

I just started watching this. I'm about 15 episodes into season 1.

Digging it
