I think you're going out on a limb here: your statistics don't include anything to support the claim that scoring the GSP-Hendricks fight for GSP correlates with scoring last weekend's fight for Santos. I'm sceptical this is the case: too many people call that WW fight a robbery for all of them for all of them to endorse this unpopular LHW decision. And if it did, "hate" hardly seems like the only possible explanation.

A, you are talking out of your ass when claiming people who supported GSP are now outraged over Jones.

B, this was 7 years ago. People's perception changes.

C, GSP looked better versus Hendricks than Jones did versus Reyes.

D, Jones deserves less of a benefit of the doubt due to his history in and out of the cage.

E, Jones's last fight was also controversial. A pattern, not a blip.

Biggest robbery I can remember was Machida/Shogun 1.

Then I almost cried in utter sadness and disbelief when the decision was read.

I was on my feet watching live on the TV midway through round 1 up til the end of the fight.


The GSP fight against Hendricks was a coin-toss in my opinion. It came down to how you scored the first round, where GSP had a power takedown, and a legit sub attempt which some felt Hendricks may have tapped.

That, or you give it to Hendricks for landing elbows while being pushed against the cage.

Could have gone either way there.

Hendricks, who initiated the idea... pulled out midway, and GSP still went through with it to prove a point.
