If Conor loses and Phil Brooks wins, why not setup the fight at 170...it's honestly probably the biggest fight they can put on plus Conor started that WWE beef so they can run with that. It makes absolute zero sense from a competition standpoint but from a money standpoint, they could market the hell out of it.

NSAC wouldnt allow it most likely

he has 22 fights and punk would have 1. and has no prior fight sport experience

True, Conor's worth too much to Nevada. They want him to live a bit longer.

Youre probably right. Theyre going more and more toward match ups that sell tickets only and dont make sense, so it wouldnt really surprise me

Didn't know CM punks real name. Had me confused. Conor v GSP would have been huge.

Preferably, I'd like Fedor Brock or Fedor Cain.

I read the OP and thought to myself "this guy is nuts, what the fuck does Will Brooks have to do with the WWE?". Then I read it again and I thought "oh wait, who the hell is Phil Brooks?".

    Then I realised I'm retarded.

And you're still nuts though, this fight will never ever happen.

brock is very very unlikely coming back unfortunately...cm will probably lose so they won't get the chance to do anything with him...man they are hurting for stars who can make money fights especially if conor loses again.

lets hijack this thread and think of fights that because of experience level differences should NEVER have taken place

    Zulizinho 7 - 0 against Fedor Emelianenko 24 - 1
    Yuji Nagata 0 -1 against Fedor Emelianenko 17 - 1
Yuji Nagata in his MMA debut fought Mirko Cro cop who only had 2 mma fights but a wealth of fighting experience overall
    Zuluzinho - 7 -1 against Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira 27 - 3

sure! but this fight made actually alot more sense than the others did. If he could beat an old vet like herring, why not?

it made a lot more sense after he won. i think mma is a tricky sport where almost anyone can beat anyone because of the flash knockout and small gloves. Soko vs Lil nog was a huge mismatch in experience too...

oddly its also the reason i think mismatches shouldnt happen because a much better can lose to a much worse guy so they shouldnt risk that situation. the newer upcoming guys should prove themselves first because thats what the established stars did, if guys get quick titles hosts it screws up the eco-system i think because anyone can get knocked out. for example if brock had to work his way up like everyone else he may have never gotten a title shot because he might have lost a few times derailing his chances which happens to a lot of fighters

Does anyone outside of wrasling know who CM is? Only reason I've heard of him is from the spam threads on here.

Conor vs GSP at 170 is the biggest fight they can make IMO. Conor has to get comfortable carrying extra weight and GSP just has to get through USADA, which they're both intelligent and skilled enough to do.
