The Ashes thread

So Australia can replace Smith but England couldn't replace Anderson at Edgebaston?

Doesn't seem right.

It's so players don't feel obligated to try and play when they are concussed I think. I would have had Labuschagne in the team anyway, he's been in good form.

We'll take the draw in this one anyway, hopefully Pattinson plays in the next test now, we're still in the box seat I'd say. THough if Smith is out we could be completely fucked of course.

God, I hope you mean a big kick up the arse, but I fear you might be right.

He's always due a big kick in the face. As much as I hate the guy, I accept that when he gets his eye in there's very few more destructive.

His year off (and probably a bit of old age) seems to have slowed him down a notch though

What would it take to get Cook out of retirement?
Can we get Pietersen and Bell back in the side while we're at it?

359 to win it and save the series. I dare not watch this one...

Root and Denly doing well so far for England
Win percentage now at 22% according to Google.
<mma4>

Could the impossible epic record breaking comeback be on?
Roots been awful this series but he's on his home turf now.

And does anyone else think that Labuschagne looks like Darren Till?

The new ball is nothing to be scared of.

This is England.

Odds on that all the hard work today will be undone and they'll be 182-8 at lunch tomorrow.

I think they have to give the captaincy to Stokes after this. What heart.

What a comeback!

Absolutely unbelievable. Ben Stokes is a hell of a player, he can do it all.
