I created this thread to discuss the techniques of TDD and sprawling in MMA. The critical areas to look for include the positioning of the feet, legs, arms, hands, and body posture. Underhooks, underhooks, underhooks. As you will notice some fighters are really well versed in what they do and it is beautiful to watch.

Of course Weidman goes back to the take down attempts as the fight progresses and is successful.

Crocrop had a very solid sprawl , so did Chuck
 
No one beats Aldo at that. Still waiting for Aldo vs khabib.
 
You also have to be on balance. If you aren’t, there are infinity ways to be taken down
 
Machida was the best IMO, even better than Chuck's. Obviously DC, Jones, and GSP were harder to take down but Machida was right there with them.
 
For a non-wrestler it was insane how masterful Jose Aldo became at killing TDs.

Junior dos Santos was ace when he was fresh too. Made Cain look like a little boy in the first rounds of their 2nd and 3rd fights.
