The American Left will once again become anti-military after Obama leaves

The Dems would never do that. That would be hypocritical.

'member when NION and ANSWER and other hangers on like Code Pink, various Marxist organizations and of course Islamists and other muslims used to protest wars and acts of aggression by the US?

Let's remember the Left wasn't protesting because of the possibility of losing American lives, they were protesting to save the lives of the innocent civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Those of you who are old enough to remember and paid attention, our awesome news organizations used to have soldier death counters, to, you know, make it hit home.

Obama's proxy wars and aggressions in Libya, Tunisia, Yemen, Egypt, Syria and Ukraine, nevermind what's going on in Iraq and Afghanistan, have created millions of displaced from civilians on 3 continents with hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths.

I've no idea why we haven't seen much of them( anti-war protesters ) in the last 8 years...hypocrisy I guess. Or fanatical ideologues.

Arab Spring ya'll!!

Liberals have a better war record than the conservatives.

We don't dislike war. We dislike your stupid wars you keep dragging us into with no purpose, benefit, or plan.

You'd be correct if it was a normal conservative war monger. But it's Trump who seems to be anti war. As long as he's anti war Democrats will lust for nuclear annihilation.

Like Syria, Libya and Yemen for example?

Haha. TS after reading all the progressive replies on page one, I think you have an idea of how left thinks. Their understanding of Middle East is almost infantile, and you can tell none of them really followed Obama's actions the last 8 years when it came to foreign policy.

They've been following him the whole way, with blinders on and hands on ears while going " LALALALALALALA".

When did US troops start fighting in Vietnam?

hmmm, did the US declare war on Iraq?

Eisenhower was sending men and bombers to Vietnam in the late 50s and early 60s.

He signed treaties with the South Vietnamese and promised them our support.

US declared war on Iraq, yes. Twice

Truman sent the first US troops to Vietnam.

US never declared war on Iraq.

We can continue playing semantics with your apologetic ways or let's get back to the topic of this thread.

US congress authorized extended military actions in Iraq in 2003.

Truman didn't sign any treaties to promise support.

War was "cool" when Hillary laid waste to Libya and helped the muslim brotherhood take power.

No, he just sent arms and soldiers there.

"President Truman approves $10 million in military assistance for anti-communist efforts in Indochina. The Defense Attaché Office was established in Saigon in May 1950, a formal recognition of Viet Nam (vice French IndoChina). This was the beginning of formal U.S. military personnel assignments in Viet Nam. U.S. Naval, Army and Air Force personnel established their respective attaches at this time."

He sent like 100 guys.

Eisenhower signed treaties, sent thousands more, and conducted bombing operations.
