The Adventures of Baron Munchausen

There's a few movies of this particular style, but this is the only movie I can remember the name of.

Anyone seen the movie? There's no CGI, but they did a fantastic job of creating the atmosphere

What's weird is that this movie showed young and hot Uma Thurman's tits and has a lot of gore, but they gave it a PG rating.

That's the movie that got me into Gilliam when I was a teenager. Love it.

I remember being bored by it as a kid. It has one of those names that you can't easily forget.

I thought it was awesome when I was a kid... Amazing cast - Oliver Reed, Eric Idle, Robin Williams, a Sting cameo, Uma Thurman... Awesome tongue in cheek film. Special effects don't even look too bad.

I never got why it bombed so hard, I had it on vhs... Never really saw John "The Baron" in anything again either. Sarah Polley, the little girl had a great career though.

Three of those are awesome.

Babysitting may have been good but it wasn't for me.

I remember it had a lot of problems in production. Way over budget. Delayed. A typical Gilliam movie. I still have a VHS copy around here somewhere that I made old school pirate style by hooking up 2 VCRs.
