... is that the glorious general MMA fanbase now thinks that leg checks are something new and that they are going to revolutionize the sport.

Good point, there's also a difference between a passive check and an aggressive check.

Nah, the worst is the, temporary, loss of the best fighter in UFC history.
Also anticlimatic shit.

Or you know, maybe the fact that Silva got hurt is a tad worse...?

Maybe hipster MMA fans are worse

Maybe

I don't know just watched the whole thing on the internet now and though I'm not some die hard Silva fan, its hard to watch that happen to anyone. Not just because he's one of the greats, but anyone. That sucked. Just a shitty crazy deal.

And wtf with this thread? The guy is getting a rod put into his leg and the worst thing about the situation is you get annoyed with sherdog posters?

weidman has a rabbit's foot in his corner, in his twisted mind he's trying to make everyone believe that he planned this and can break legs now. things go right for him when he fights silva. one of the reasons that he won't get full credit for either fight. good for him, he deserves the payoff from the hard work he put in.

He should definitely get credit for the first fight. Yes, Anderson acted foolish but Weidman capitalized on it.

The second fight? Weidman did not beat him and it is irrelevant which way the fight was going prior to the kick.

Is that we all had to see it. Gruesome. Horrific. Shocking. Millions of people said oh shit and grimaced simultaneously

Still trying to discredit his win? Enough, CW has his number, broken leg or not.

Who cares what the hipsters think.. I think the worst part is that in 2 fights, both have ended somewhat anticlimactically (clowning KO which is disputed, injury i.e. not a traditional, definitive KO or sub finish).

The worse part about Anderson breaking his leg is that he broke his leg.

the worst part is that James Toney won't get credit for teaching Weidman the "Front Check Kick"

I know, it's totally ridiculous. haha But I think the worst part was not being able to see Weidman knocking Anderson out with his fists again - that way all his nut-huggers would have nothing left to whine about

woulda thought the worst part would be the dude who has months of painful rehabilitation waiting for him.

the worst part is that the greatest fighter in the history of the sport will most likely end his career on that note
