Khabib. If he'd also fought and beaten Tony, it would have been a runaway decision, but to me ge edges out Nunes and Cormier. DC was only LHW champ by default, and Lewis/Volkan aren't terribly impressive wins. If Nunes/Rousey had also happened in 2018, I'd have given Nunes the nod.

DC gets the nod, for my thoughts, nobody accomplished as much.

How is the One FC guy able to fight at those 2 weight classes? MW is his natural weight class and he eat a lot to make LHW?? iirc One FC MW is WW in the rest of the world, right?

Considering just a few of us were giving Nunes the W, I'm picking her.

DC. Only legitimate Champ Champ in MMA history. Accomplished at both weight classes, not just a one off.

Obviously Cormier, but I voted Santos because 5 fights in a year is fucking awesome and I wish more pro fighters were actual fighters like him.

Cormier for me. Defended LHW belt by beating the crap out of Volkan. Won HW belt knocking out Stipe in first round. Defended HW belt by wrestling Black Beast to death before choking him out in 2nd round.

I also predict 2019 will be a very good and big year for Cormier. He is retiring you say ;) I say not, I just got this feeling he is gonna be active a lot in 2019.

Cormier and it's not even debatable.

Cormier not having 100% of the vote upsets me.

It’s gotta be Amanda Nunes, followed (closely) by DC.

    But honestly, both are worthy.

27-0. DC doesn't deserve this reward over Khabib, not as long as he's Jones' bitch.

The Burmese Python. Not bad being a World Champ from a country that does ZERO MMA. Also check out his documentaries. Guy is a God in Myanmar. Burmese Boxing is no joke. No gloves and can only win by Ko. proper tough kents.

    Edit: Double world champ.

Nunes lost to Shevchenko and shouldn't be champion at all at 145.
Lewis, Volkan and Stipe > Raquel Pennington & Cyborg.

I have to go with Nunes, she knocked out a legend, the wmma GOAT. Then she rightfully turned into the wmma GOAT.
