I got lucky with my first live UFC fight, got to see Nog box up Randy in Portland...was fantastic, plenty of butthurt Portland fans though.

Great card to see live.

There some sweet finishes on that card.

Big Nog Vs Couture is in my top 10 fav fight no doubt.

Was impressed by Randy tbh.

Great post TS. Respect.

And respect to the legend that is Uriah Faber. Absolute natural in the cage. Seemed like a decent fella. Epic chin. You will be missed.

Never been to an event. Not even when it was in Manchester. I need to change that.
You should definitely go to an event, just to experience the atmosphere, if nothing else.

Yeah he almost got finished 3 times and hung in there, great fight. Still go back and watch it every once in awhile

I think I'd love it like an a teenage Amish boy's first trip to Vegas haha

You're right though. I defo will at some point. The atmosphere must be electric. I'd turn feral:)

UFC was unknown and unavailable in quebec but u were going to see the "24th" TKO card?

Not sure about that one.

Also u got front row at a TKO for 40 bucks? Great deal man. I been to a few TKOs myself back in the day at the bell center/ molson center, good shows as i remember them

January of 2006, can't believe that was 10 yrs ago.
Was more of a boxing guy back then
My friends who liked the sport drag me to that event
40$ for front row ticket, not that bad.
a 2 hours+ road trip from my hometown of quebec city.
In Quebec the UFC still wasn't well knonw, UFC wasn't on TV here at that point.
Gsp didn't become champ until november of that year.
All changed when he became the UFC WW champion.

We had the TKO org here, TKO was pretty popular in early 00's.
TKO was already selling out big arena here, with name like
GSP, Pat Coté, David Loiseau, Mark Hominick, Sam Stout & any many other.

The event I went to was TKO 24 : Eruption
fighter like Hominick, Clementi, Soszynski were fighting.

The CO-Main event had one of the most popular fighter here
Ivan Menjivar, who was fighting a guy I didn't know about.

The California Kid, Urijah Faber

Menjivar lost By DQ, he kicked Faber in the face while he was down.
Was a good fight until that, lol.

When WEC became big, I became a fan of Faber who was the best fighter on their roster.
The fact that I saw him live once probably had something to do with it.

10 years later now, I'm a little sad to know that tomorrow will be that last time Faber will enter the cage.
I want to thank the little fella for all thoses great fight.

He was the poster boy of lighter weight class.
An OG and a legend.

I'll miss ya bud.

#WEC,KOTC,GC Champ
#FaberBless

That's a cool memory to have bro.
Even the fact that Ivan was expected to be much more than he became.
