From my memory they weren't that close to each other or fighting when Bisping turned to the ref and asked for his mouthpiece.

Bisping dodged a KO knee to the face a split second prior and was in a vulnerable position with his back against the cage. No ref in their right mind would consider that a break in the action.

I feel like this isn't being talked about at all. I'm not a big Bisping fan, but I feel like he fought the perfect fight. Much of the time, he was making all the right moves. Surviving (barely) a Silva with bad intentions for 25 minutes is no easy task. I think Bisping executed and stuck to a great gameplan, having the guts and timing to push forward on Anderson. I was highly impressed with him tonight, even if Anderson took his foot off of the pedal at times.

I hate Bisping but he impressed me with his fortitude and mental strength. It takes real guts to stick to the gameplan like that after R3.

Any attack that is within the rules is not dirty. This is like people calling foot stomps dirty. It's part of the game. Bisping's fault for letting a shot like that through.

He looked great yes, one of his best performances ever. Still, he was saved by the bell and had the round lasted a couple of seconds longer (and if Silva hadn't walked away), he would have lost by TKO. Overall an impressive performance but I don't see him being able to beat anyone in the top 5 (Silva should not be top 5 at this moment).

Round 3 was very close before the last flurry from Silva, without it the judges may have given it to Bisping. There's nothing outlandish about what he said.
