In the words of the great Nate Diaz, that truly was some crazy striking out there by both Caceres and Rodriguez.
Yair is still a few years away from really putting it together, but he really is showing some next level striking. He fought a much bigger fighter tonight and was able to keep him at bay with some un-Orthodox striking that really kept Caceres from putting together any real strings of strikes.
Even though Yair constantly went for these crazy off balance strikes that could have left him wide open for counters and bad positions, he was able to showcase high level fight IQ by also utilizing oblique kicks to freeze any kind of combo by Caceres. His ability to roll to a good position on takedowns is off the charts.
The sky is the limit for this kid. Still very raw and green but he beat a very good opponent.
