whats so bad about wearing gloves & belt? my hands get blisters everytime i go without gloves, and the belt is not important, but it helps me keep my back straight.

Your hands will get used to lifting without gloves. The blisters quickly turn to calluses, which you'll need to file down a bit at first. But then you really learn how to grip the bar, and callus formation is almost a null issue. Gloves subtract from your grip, especially at heavy weights. If grip is an issue, best to buy some chalk.

Belts are good for one rep max attempts and the like, but otherwise, you want to keep your back straight using what god gave ya'll. It'll keep your core much stronger in the long run, having to do that work on your own.
