Last night a Jeff Ruth's Gym, Seph Smith gave an awesome leg lock seminar last night. Ryan Hall was his demonstration partner. It was awesome. If you ever see this happening at a Lloyd Irvin affiliate school, take advantage of it. It will definitely help your game. And it was free!

Seph is a Black Belt in Sambo, Black Belt in Judo, and Purple belt in BJJ under Lloyd Irvin.

I've enjoyed watching Ryan roll over the past year. Despite Lloyd's attempts to play down his skills, he's quite good.

sambo only has red or blue belts and they are only to distinguish between 2 competitors in competition.

Some sambo places do rank, I think oleg taktarov ranks himself in sambo as well. I made a thread about this a while ago and thats the answer I got.

Some places rank. I think the American Sombo Association has a belt ranking guideline.
