Thai Shorts?

Why don't a lot of fighters wear Muay Thai Shorts? Also are most fight shorts as light as the Thai Shorts?

My Thai Shorts start slipping after the first 25 minutes of practice. They also make my grip in guard kind of non-existent. I prefer some vale tudo or above-knee fight shorts. keep it classy
