So I ordered a pair of thai pads from titleboxing and the pair i ordered is currently out of stock. They were title pads 16 inches long, 8 inches wide and 4 inches thick. Now my trainers use the same sizes but the next available pair were the throwdown pads with the same length and width but they were 2.5 inches thick.

Will the shortage of 1.5 inches cause more impact and strain on my trainer and if anyone has this pair of throwdown thai pads could you please tell me how well they work?

The Professional Title Thai Pads are made by Twins and are very good quality. They are $79, the same price as the cheap Pakistan made Throwdowns...

Much like chins is the answer to everything S&P related, Fairtex is the answer to everything gear related.

Depends on who you work with..I have guys i train with that we use the super thick thai pads and my forearms are still sore..if your training with beginners you may be able to get away with it

Ive ordered some stuff off Title a few times only to get a call 2 days later that they were out of stock..annoying

True

There are some other brands but usually the ones from thailand are all good, just different labeling.

Get the buckle ones though. I hate (with a vengence) those cheapy shitty velcro ones

HATE THEM

get the thaismai. its a lil cheaper than twins. fairtex is very overpriced. you are basically paying for the name for the same product
