Literally stand in front of the faster better boxer and let him batter you for 5 rounds. I was pulling for JDS and he looked great, especially with his movement and aggression.

Now for the other side. Idk what the game plan was but there were no in fight adjustments made even after losing round after round. "Slothwell" landed some good leg kicks early then scrapped that. His corner also told him to try and take it to the ground, did he even try? Because I don't remember a single shot.

His corner was also pretty terrible. Telling him that JDS was tired in the 5th even though Ben was beat to shit and Junior was barely breathing.

I don't like to play the blame game, but he should have switched things up. Terrible strategy, terrible work from his corner, and terrible performance.

To be honest, what else should he have done?

His attempts to close the distance were pretty terrible, like basically consisted of running forward, in straight line, falling into the fence.

More of those, and he would just had gassed really bad.

Yup, he had such a strange game plan. I was shocked that he never tried to take JDS down, he didn't even attempt one take down, I can't remember any at all in the entire fight. I think he was having a problem seeing from his right eye to be fair, but still the game plan seemed wrong.

He had some decent leg kicks, but he didn't throw them enough. He is too slow, but with a better game plan he could win that fight.

Its his style he cant fight different

Well employing some more leg kicks against a light footed JDS would have been a wise strategy. Slow down the movement then close the distance. The guy looked God awful. Like a shag carpeted heavy bag.

Or maybe your over thinking it. I think Ben just kept standing in front of JDS waiting for that one chance to ko or choke him out and ultimately ran out of time.

Your just trying to take away from JDS' win.

I'd say that's a problem wouldn't you? I mean if I'm trying to drive a nail with a screwdriver and it's not working it might at least be worth trying to use a hammer.

If Ben was more aggresive he would have been koed, he was doing fine until he got hurt on the second round.

In the first round he cut off the cage and caught JDS a few times. He needed to do that more, but JDS adjusted easily. He probably should've started clinching before striking when he got him there. And possibly worked for the TD. He's just not fast enough to outbox a faster guy in JDS who was trying to evade him. He didn't force his strengths and JDS did.

And maybe that's me not over thinking, maybe that's just fucking dumb.

Needs to work on cutting off the cage. I was getting annoyed watching him.

That is what he always does. Pretty much nothing, then burst of punches...something lands and he wins. Against Stipe, Werdum and Cain he would get worked like he did tonight. Solid chin and stupid power can only get you so far.
