Why are they standing up the fights after she gets the takedown? Bizarre ruleset. Very impressed by her weightlifting and she has good takedowns and head movement. UFC should sign her she'd probably win some fights.
That cage mat is dirty af lol

Bleda and Chimaev are the GOATs

Why is that bizarre? It's the rules.

It's certainly not bizarre to think that most people prefer the fight happening on the feet, not on the ground.

It's bizarre in that they allow takedowns but immediately stand the fight up when it hits the ground. If it's stand up only surely that would mean no takedowns.

Why the fuck do they keep standing it up after her double leg takedowns? Fuckin stupid

Takedowns is scoring a point. That's the way it is, even in "normal" MMA. Such as in the UFC.

PS: I'm aware that some people believe that takedowns shouldn't be rewarded if you don't manage to do anything on the ground afterwards.

Takedowns in a stand up only fight is stupid though. Why score a point for leaving the fighting area lol

Yes rules are bizar but it was made only cuz covid and cuz stand up fighters... - guys from Glory , Muay-Thai world champions and Box champs wouldnt join full MMA pyramid + special chance to see guys from Glory in mma gloves and inside of octagon

btw Mat is not dirty ... its design "UNDERGROUND" <Lmaoo>

If she hasn't even turned pro yet she needs to get a move on. Is it Barber who's the youngest at the moment?
Her professional debut was canceled cuz injury and later on canceled cuz COVID

-Fusion rules -standup inside of octagon with MMA gloves.
They gave points for every takedown after 3 s of control (3 sucessfull takedowns in one round were rated as KD ) - This rule was made cuz Kickboxers,Muay-Thai fighters and Boxers inside of these pyramids

btw standup submissions were allowed

Cuz it's the rules? It certainly affects the way you fight if points are scored for takedowns. There's no godgiven law that says you can't score a point by taking your opponent down, then getting stood up.

The rules are stupid

No, they actually aren't.

Most people wanna watch an entertaining fight. Most people find takedowns to be entertaining, as it's one fighter imposing his/her will and dominating for at least that brief moment.

Most people also find the groundgame boring - in general.

So it's a pretty decent rule. It's certainly not to be ridiculed.

He was the first 18 year old but Chase Hooper is the youngest in ufc history.

How is that? He is 19 when he fought in DWTNC. He's 20 when he made his UFC debut. Dan Lauzon making his UFC debut at 18 is still the record of the youngest fighter in UFC history. But if we are talking about active fighters now, then maybe Hooper is.

Agreed with each and every post of yours in this thread. But I think at this moment you're fighting a lost cause :).
