Khabib has never been in a 5 round fight. His fight style requires a lot of energy and I just don't think he'll be able to wrestle Cucuy in the later rounds. Cucuy is very strong and might be able to stuff a few take downs early on as well. This isn't Pettis that we're talking about right here. It's not a guarantee that Khabib gets Cucuy down every time. Cucuy pushes the pace and I think he'll work body shots and get Khabib tired and finish him in the later rounds by submission.

I personally want Khabib to beat Cucuy so he can be next in line for a title shot and beat RDA and then we can see Nate take the belt from Khabib.

Other than the "He will lay on him for 25 minutes", is there any other key factors for why you guys think Khabib will win?

I think cucuy wins. Khabib is overrated imo. Boring style that requires a lot of energy. For 25 minutes. It's going to be hard. That is if Khabib can even make it to the scale without injury.

I used to think no one in this division could win against Khabib, but I'm now thinking Tony may be able to stop him, the guy is a cardio machine and has sick guard. Even if Khabib wrestles him to death it's a 5 round fight, and Tony could finish him from the bottom or on the feet, he is dangerous, way more than RDA. Tony may be the only one who can stop Khabib actually, and if he can't I don't see anyone doing this.

Khabib by being a nice furry blanket and boring us all in a LnP snoozefest.

It depends which Khabib appears, the Khabib who schooled the current Lightweight King is a scary Khabib...

I see khabib grappling him to death assuming he hasn't lost a step. He never really showed cardio issues and if khabib is able to do what he does it is exhausting for his opponents too. RDA looked really tired in their fight and Khabib was the great fighter. I do think Ferguson has more ways to win though.

Almost 2yrs out with how many injuries and with Khabib's heavy drape & rape wrestling I'll be impressed if he doesn't collapse a lung coming out of the 1st rd...

I don't know, I'm just excited beyond all measure that we're going to see two great fighters with different styles throw down, and it's not a rematch or some catchweight exhibition bullshit. A rare thing in the UFC these days.

WAR both those guys

Wouldn't doubt that Khabib gets submitted and then retires for good...I doubt he will handle a loss well at all.

His going to walk right thru him. Put the house on khabib

My money's on Ferguson, but if Nurmagomedov wins, I would imagine it would be a decision or late TKO. His strategy will probably be wrestling/GNP. Cucuy will try to keep it standing and use jiujitsu if it goes to the mat.

Tony hasnt fought anyone with great wrestling + top control in his streak. Look at what Danny was able to do in their fight when he wasnt getting caught up in Tonys unorthodox weird fancy shit. Khabib could easily outwrestle and outposition him and i dont think it would take much cardio for him to do that as Tony will always be looking to finish with submissions instead of improving position which Khabib can easily defend against or at least neutralize

There's no telling what Nurmagomedov will look like, so it's hard to speculate. I think in the past, he would've had a great chance but now I think it hinges on how Ferguson approaches the fight more than anything he can do. If he tries a bunch of crazy shit without worrying about ending up on the bottom, like he did against Castillo, he could likely play right into Khabib's game plan and give up some rounds. Can't really see that happening and other than that, not sure. Ferguson has been on fire and has a lot to offer anywhere the fight goes. Who knows, though. Cruz came back twice and looked great.

Chain wrestling, top control, and accumulation of damage will wear down Cucuy.

Khabib can easily outwrestle tony to a decision, the energy it will take Tony to counter wrestle a guy who is both extremely skilled and naturally stronger than him is going to make Khabib stronger as the fight goes on and Tony weaker. He will be easier to takedown as the rounds go on.

if Khabib looks like he did before his string of injuries i think Tony doesn't necessarily get rag dolled... but likely controlled and ground down

Is Khabib gonna even make it to the weigh in without going down to injury?
