I want to make a kickass sandwich today for lunch/dinner. Please give me some ideas.
Anything but a Reuben. Those things are disgusting and whoever enjoys them are disgusting as well.
thick cut bacon, 1/2 package, fried crisp.
whole avocado, sliced.
Serve in toasted pita.
fuck you.. i'm not a sandwich expert..
let me ask my wife
Well, I would have said a Banh Mi because they're super tasty, but if you're making it yourself it's probably a bit too involved and you probably don't have all the ingredients on hand.
One of my favorites that's easy to make is tuna fish and jalapenos; just mix together tuna and mayo with a bit of salt and pepper, then slather that on some bread and top with pickled jalapenos. Add other veg as desired, like so-
Any sandwhich is a good sandwhich.
Lol, I was just going to suggest this after seeing the thread title. Your response being the first had me laughing hard.
I had this last week
wonder bread, carl buddig ham, american cheese
Did I win?
Really? It looks so delicious though.
fresh italian bread, toasted
tomatoes dried off and deseeded
jalepenos or other peppers, deseeded, fire roasted
fresh basil crushed
fresh french bread, toasted
spicy arribiata sauce (spicy pasta sauce)
vegetarian meatballs or tofu cubes
mozzarella cheese, melted
dry red peppers
hit it or quit it
A marinated steak sandwich using this guys recipe:
I've personally tried this twice. Fucking best steak sandwich and burrito I've ever had.
How I made it:
Steak marinated and cooked to medium rare
French roll grilled with some garlic butter
some sort of multi grain wheat bread (I had German wheat bread with plenty of seeds/nuts)
sandwhich meat of your choosing
pepper jack cheese
Sauerkraut and rye bread, it's hit or miss.
I always like breakfast sandwiches on some ciabatta
Easy to make good anytime of the day
Turkey, Ham, Bacon, Lettuce (or arugula), Tomato, Chopped Onion, Mayo, Avocado, Egg, Cheese on double decker toast
Cook the ham and the bacon in a pan together.
Add the turkey and heat it up too.
Cook the eggs over easy so it's still runny but not too runny.
Put the mayo on the bread, then the onions, then the avocado, then the turkey, then the cheese (i had smoked gouda), then the ham, then the egg, then the bacon, then the tomato, then the lettuce.
Put middle slice of bread and stack everything again.
Put final piece of bread, cut in half diagonally.
Take a picture for posterity.
Horse radish mixed with mayo, good quality meats, put some colman/dijon mustard on the meat, fresh olives (not ones drenched in salt), crushed avocado/tomatoes, chopped up chili pepper of your choice, fry the bread slices (not white loaf) in butter with chopped up garlic, sprinkle with parmesan.
Avocado, mashed is prob best
Carrot, use a peeler for thin strips
Feta or a good hard cheese like an aged Cheddar or Gouda
Separate names with a comma.
