I thought I would roll my eyes at the police when I saw the hyperlink "Teen charged with felony for stealing cup of soda", but now that I've read the article I, more or less, have to side with the police. I hope the driver is the person who was charged.

The manager for the McDonald's at 520 S. Thompson St. called police Monday to report a robbery, according to the report. The manager told police 3 people went through the drive thru and asked for 3 large waters. Those 3 parked, went into the restaurant, dumped out the water and then filled the cups with soda, the manager told police.

The manager asked the 3 people to return the soda. Two of them did, but one did not, the manager told police.

Then, the manager stood behind the suspect's car and tried to stop them from leaving, according to the report, but the car reversed and hit the manager. The manager tried to get the keys out of the ignition and was hit on the hand and then by the vehicle again, the manager told police.

Oh damn, I didn't see the kid was white. Now everyone's going to say I'm just supporting the police because this kid isn't black. I need to get a redneck friend ASAP.

The little snot tried to run the manager over with a car. He didn't get arrested for stealing a soda, he got arrested for attempted vehicular manslaughter.

Police are prosecutors now?

This was already posted. He got arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

Not enough info. Maybe he tried to run him over, maybe the manager jumped behind the car. Maybe he was hit hard, maybe he was nudged. Could be an obvious felony, could be a bullshit charge.

Sounds like an avalanche of bad decisions. Everyone involved did something dumb. But yeah, don't try to run anyone over for a soda. Can't believe that needs to be said.

All I wanted was a Pepsi, and she wouldn't give it to me.
Just one Pepsi!

Respect for the manager for being brave and risking his life stopping these monsters.

That manager is Fn retarded for putting themselves in a position to get run over or worse over a cup of pop

That said title is misleading the kid isnt in shit over the pop as far as i can tell but for hitting a fool with a car.

This guy needs to be taught a lesson. Sadly, it's probably too late. He deserves what's coming to him.

He had a chance to make it right and pay for the coke. He didn't and he ran over the employee also.
