TED CRUZ wants to EXPAND IMMIGRATION and REDUCE BORDER PROTECTION

He says legal immigration here, any source that it also covers acceptance of refugges, asylum seekers or legalisation of illegals? (as I understand these are the burning US immigration issues)

Just yesterday he was copying trump at the debate saying he wants to build a wall

No he doesn't, he says "reduce the barriers, reduce the waiting periods" - in this context "barriers" most likely means "administrative barriers towards legals". He also explains in the end that the end goal of his proposal is a higher number of high skilled workers, and legal, high skilled workers (at least to my knowledge) were never the problem that the US had with immigrants.

Maybe I should bookmark this for six months from now when the NYT leaks the rest of the interview, we find out Donald Trump said he basically doesn't care about illegal immigration, and then all the Trump supporters act like they never actually cared about it, either, since, you know, they do that every time he changes his mind. At least Cruz doesn't change his mind every 5 seconds.

I like Cruz less than Trump, but it's becoming difficult for me to care about them framing an opposing candidate's position as negative when they (the majority of the GOP thus far) has made it so abundantly clear they don't care about a core political value system, at all. And we all know that's what's happening, here.

We're supposed to judge Cruz by immigration proposals he has made in the past while Trump gets a pass on everything.

What Cruz says in that clip is a good idea! And he doesn't say anything about reducing border protections. He talks about reducing *barriers* to immigration, by which he is clearly referring to administrative ones.

He doesn't say anything about border protection there. I agree with him.

I've actually spoken with people that have cited Trumps willingness to switch his narrative and positions as his greatest strenght, and it was always in the context of him being a highly adaptive business person.

He's a Nimble Navigator

Cruz at least lays out a plan that makes sense. Donald lays out ZERO plan. Listen to him talking about making mexico pay for the wall. It is ridiculous.

And to what someone else said, Trump will say anything that gets him the most "likes". But saying and doing are 2 different things.

I'm naming my d1ck that, I really am. Last few weeks I played "Trump Tower" with the missus, but the Nimble Navigator is in the house.

Trump Tower..? Because nothing gets the ladies excited than the mental picture of a 70 years old man that looks like this

Not surprising he would promote open borders years ago, but seem to flip flop on ot while running for potus. Ted probably has a poster of Hillary Clinton in his locker on the hill.

Almost all republicans are open borders because the chamber of commerce is open borders.

Trump tried going back on the issue (praising hb1 visas in the last debate when his website said he was against them) but then he reverted to being against them. . Perhaps he forgot that his initial popularity was because people are tired of having no say in our immigration policy.

Meanwhile a poll from like a week ago showed 60 percent of americans want lesd immigration. . Complete disconnect between voters and politicians
