I agree. It's not really a double standard, just a different situation. I do have an issue with the lefties who deny all gender differences but also want women treated better than men.

Adult patients of their psychiatrists are biologically adults. Prison inmates are biologically adults. They still can't consent to sex with their psychiatrists and prison guards.

There's more to the picture than having hit puberty.

A 15 year old has spent his or her entire life being subject to the legal dominion of adults (their parents) and being told to do what adults say (teachers, coaches). A 15 year old doesn't interact with adults the same way an adult acts with other adults.

I don't know if any lefties are trying to deny gender differences. But the civil thing to do is give women every opportunity afforded to men, and absolve them of some of the responsibilities than men incur, such as taking an ass whooping when you talk enough shit. We just have to understand that we are superior, but it is no reason to discriminate against women.

Apparently she is not bothered by the age difference, but she does come from a different culture than I do.
I think what the guy did is a no-no. A teacher can't be having sex with his 15 year old student, it is wrong.
I don't think he should go to jail though because, instead of being a burden on tax payers, this educated man should do some volunteer work in benefit of the state.

Maybe touring schools and talking about teen pregnancies- provided he doesn't go on tour and slay a bunch more 15 year olds.


It is bad, but it isn't like pedophilia or rape- the girl (not calling her a woman yet) did consent. And, maybe the part of the problem is how we "baby" our children. At 16 years old I was running multi-million dollar equipment and had big time responsibilities. I think I knew who I did and did not want to bone a year prior to that- and let me promise you, that if I'd ever gotten my chance with a hot 26 year old- I would have tried for at least 10 seconds.

Why would we look to mostly terrible countries and adopt their age of consent? Children should not be allowed to make important life decisions like whether to get pregnant or not.
