    HAHAHA,

Mayorga is a joke but I cant get enough of seeing this guy get beat down.

Taylor will wipe the floor with Mayorgas face.

I would love to see RJJ vs Taylor though. Good style matchup.

How the hell does Mayorga continually get these top level fights? Where did you ear about this? Was it on espn or something?

The one thing I have always respected Taylor for is taking on top contenders. In hindsight his wins over Ouma, Spinks, and Winky don't look that great, but at the time those fighters were considered top notch guys -- not to mention incredibly difficult style matchups for anyone. This would totally discredit Taylor in my opinion.

Why does he need to fight Mayorga anyway? A fight with JT vs RJ will sell any day of the week.

Taylor needs to fight Roy, Kessler, Trinidad....not Mayorga

    Actually I agree with Taylor.

I think Taylor needs a tuneup fight. No way he can afford to lose 3 fights in a row. With fighting Mayorga hes going to get paid good money and he will be a breeze. He'll fart his way to a victory.

Than he fights RJJ which will be a big fight.

    I'm with you.

Ricardo DOES have a bit of a fan base, reinvigorated after his destruction of Vargas.
Capitalize on that, and provide an exciting fight as long as it lasts... it's a win win.

However, I do not think that this fight is a gimmie for Jermain, as his confidence has got to have taken a shitkicking in the last little while.

The rumour I heard was that Mayorga would take on Cotto after Cotto`s Gomez fight.

Cotto sounds far more likely than Taylor just due to Mayorga`s size.

I heard Mayorga was trying to secure a Welterweight fight against Cotto?
Good for Taylor if its true, I think he can easily beat Mayorga and will probably beat RJJ fairly easily as well. At least he can get back on track and make some more cash.

Pretty sure Cotto was gonna fight the winner of Margarito and Cintron after his fight with Gomez. I think they were basically saying that Mayorga would happen if someone got hurt, or down the line after Margarito/Cintron.

Good bounceback fight for Taylor if it happens. If not, no great loss.
