Hi guys,

Ive been using this gi for about 6 weeks now 2-3 times a week and used it in a small local competition this afternoon, I havn't taken the time yet to do a write up because I wanted to use it a lot first and decide what I really like/dont like about it. I paid 129.00 with free shipping from MMA warehouse and now you can get it for 97 bucks but you have to pay shipping unless you buy something else to get your total to 125+ dollars.

Here we go:

This is a Tatami Estillo 4.0 gi which is a very nice, high quality Gi, its not a boutique brand gi or anything like that but it is definatly a workhorse. The first thing I noticed about this gi was the green contrast stitching throughout the GI it looks really good. What I don't really like about this gi us the MMA warehouse patches/trim tape all over it, I think that this gi would look great with the standard Tatami logos in this color. The Jacket has 3 MMA warehouse patches on it, one on each shoulder and one on the ass of the skirt. The pants have one MMA warehouse patch on them. If I were in the US, I might not want to wear this because of all the patches but here in China, nobody really knows what it is so I fly under the radar.

Heres a link to the standard Tatami Estillo 4.0 gi:

and heres a link to the MMA warehouse limited Edition version:

The fit is pretty good, I have big shoulders and upper back/chest (lots of time in the gym) and the a4 fits pretty good at 6'4 195-205lbs. The sleeves are long enough and there is plenty of overlap on the jacket so its not coming open easily. The collar is nice and stiff. WHat I DONT like about the jacket is the length of the skirt, I could do with it being 2-3 inches shorter, it reminds me of a Judo Gi in that regard. THe material is nice tough 550g pearl weave. It was stiff at first but has gotten nicer as Ive used it more. All the seams are nicely reinforced. THe pants fit perfectly and I really like them a lot, they aren't too long but not too short, they fit just the way I like pants to fit, the green drawstring stays tied and looks cool.

Complaints:

The first time I used this gi, one of the belt loops popped out at the stitching, Im sure this is a fluke because all the other loops are sewn on securely. this really wasnt a big deal because it didnt prevent me from using it and my wife sewed it back in less than 5 minutes (with matching green thread...no problem.

The patches....yeah, I knew what I was getting into but I could really REALLY do without the massive MMA warehouse patch across the ass area of the skirt.

Skirt length, Like I said earlier, I could do with it being a few inches shorter and I've actually read this complaint from a few other places too but its not a deal breaker, just sort of a preference thing for me.

Anyways, ive put about 40 total hours of use into this thing and washed it every time and hung it dry, it has shrank a tiny bit and is showing no wear, this has been used for drilling, rolling and competition. Its a real workhorse gi that Im sure will last a long time. This is the blingiest gi I have owned but its not overly blingy, the colors are awesome and the quality is good, for 97 bucks I think it would be pretty damn hard to get a better Gi. I plan on using this one exclusively until my Padilla and SOns Gi gets here.

Cliffs for those who dont like to read (clamp XVII):
+quality
+colors
+fit
+materials
+pants
+++++price/vaalue

-mma warehouse patches
-skirt length
+/- belt lop came undone at the stiitching, probably a fluke, easy to fix

If you want a really nice Gi and can deal with the logos, 97 bucks is a hell of a deal. Theres only 120 of these made and Im actually surprised they arent sold out yet, Even though its a limited edition, I plan to do my best to destroy it, the only problem I forsee with that is tearing the pants and not being able to get a new matching pair (you can get standard estillo 4.0 pants but not this color/combo).

peace out.
