I watched Strikeforce this past saturday and the fight I wanted to watch the least turned out to be my favorite one of the night. I enjoyed watching Tarec fight. I assumed he had a kyokushin backround or offshoot with the way he was throwing his leg kicks, but his Wikipedia says its Shihaishinkai and that "Shihaishinkai, a style of Karate that includes striking, Judo throws and ground fighting" and is the most information i can find on it.Anybody have more information Shihaishinkai
Anybody know how this style contrasts to Wado Ryu...? Here's a YT vid: ^^^ Looks like 'mentally disciplined' shadow boxing.... should have lots of TSF fans..... KarateStylist
Well, it looks nothing like Wado-ryu, striking the nail in the 'KarateStylist knows nothing about Karate' coffin once again. It's definitely a Kyokushin off-shoot, that much is pretty obvious. It may not be a style of Karate, but kind of an MMA school with Karate as the main striking influence? Lots of no-gi grappling videos of the stuff. edit: Nope, it's a quote "street fighting variant" of World Oyama karate. Interesting stuff.
^^^ Tanks, genius.... :icon_lol: ^^^ I found a vid that showed the body-battering Knockdown karate match Ignorant Bloke PM'd me about, but I'll hand the reins over to you.... seeing as how he's sitting in one big chair with you alongside.... lots of similarities on how not to do karate....
