I've read the reviews, basicly most say it comes down to preference. Well folks I've got a pair of Tapouts I really want to buy. I'm normally a Sprawl guy (2 pairs of Sprawls both used for a year each in training and still can use). My question is will the Tapouts hold up during the training or should I save them for comps?

I haven't really seen (m)any posts about Tapouts falling apart. Other than the velcro rub, which could stop someone from wanting to continuously train in them, they seem like well-made overall shorts.

What design are you going for?

i have the camo long shorts.. they are cut big so you have plenty of room.. the material is very durable.. it feels really smooth, and its pretty thick.. i like them alot i also have a pair of sprawl v flexs which i really like.. i switch them out for mt and grappling all the time..

The material imo doesn't feel all that thick but man they feel strong though. Like I go for a death grip and twist and turn them and nothing gives at all. I don't think you can go wrong with tapouts either as withsprawl and nogi.

The material is very good for training. I train kickboxing and jiu jitsu with my mma training in them and i don't have any problems at all. Even the velcro isn't a problem since i wear a underarmor type boxer jock underneath.

I wore my tapouts to training for the first time ever last night (I try not to wear the Deigo's too much, it feels weird to wear another fighter's sig shorts while you're doing what he does best). Anyway I wore the urban camos. Different feel cos of the material, but like the Diego's they're soooo light it feels like you're training in a towel especially since the cut gives you so much hip room.

Alright sounds good fellas thanks for the input. I'm going to get the Blue/Red Black pair of long shorts.

Yes, they will. I love my Tapouts, though I realize I am in the minority.

i second you on that brotha..they might have a crazy image, stupid adds, and what not but they make a quality pair of shorts, hate it or not, you cant complain abt the quality and designs
