Tabata Burpees

just did
20 seconds burpees
10 secons rest
7 sets

Did that twice. It really... really.. sucked.
 
I did it for the first time last night; 10 rounds. Fun stuff.

Easier than doing like 30-40 straight, though.

Try stacking them. Doing 8 sets/4 minutes and repeating 2 more times with 1-2 minutes rest between "rounds."
 
During wrestling this year our coaches came up with a sick variation of burpees that we call "super sucks." First get 2 dumbells on the floor, and start with a push up. Then bring your legs up behind the weights and stand up while curling the dumbells. Now with the dumbells in front of your chest, you do a squat and explode up pressing the weights up. Then back down to the beginning. And then keep doing it. Sorry if its confusing. Give em a shot.
 
Tabata burpee is painful. I do however believe it is the most effective way to do the 100 burpee challenge.

you did 10 rounds of what I did twice? Thats fucking crazy...

I did sprints after so I still had some gas in the tank.. but I definitely couldnt have done another round of those without puking.
 
Weird, i just did these for the first time yesterday, too. It was after barbell complexes and Wall Press/Full contact Twist sets.

I think I did 8x 8 (so 64 in 4 minutes) then I did a Tabata pushup set.
Started with the dumbell pushup twist, then when that got to hard did regular.knuckly and hindu pushups.

Great finisher for the day.
