i saw crank like once, it was ok i guess, a little edgelord and over the top. fury road was just a piece of shit, a 2 hour slipknot music video
No other action flick has the pace of Crank. It's completely unique and never loses heat, there's always forward momentum without becoming tiresome. That's what I want in an action flick and I can't find that fix anywhere else. Fury Road is the only other movie that attempts it, but the scale is too big, so it kind of turns into noise a bit. It's still spectacular. There seems to be a pattern of people who aren't very artistic who don't like Fury Road, maybe that's where you don't connect with it. Not judging, though, but it was built way differently than any other movie, mainly thanks to Brendan McCarthy's influence, so whatever standard baggage and measurements you're bringing to it, it just won't work.

Calling Crank edgelord... the sequel went edgelord. But I get it, it was unusual. And calling FR a Slipknot music video... shit, man, I'm totally OK with it. Pre-2008 Slipknot was fun. There's more story telling and action in one frame of FR than all of Christopher Nolan movies combined same way there's more energy, passion, talent and creativity just in the intro sequence of Disasterpieces than all of MCU put together:

If it's edgelordesque, Joe, then so be it. I'll take edgelord over the soft ass cape shit or those dorkvomit Fast & Furious movies any day of the week. But, again, this isn't an argument. Just stating my reasons. I don't expect you to change your mind and I won't change mine cause this is just my jam. I love these films.

Hmmmm I voted a firm maybe...but there is Predator.

Maybe Predator can take the title of manliest movie ever made...but then there is Conan the Barbarian.

IMO the first Terminator was better.

Yeah I preffer it but I spose the question becomes when does horror/thriller end and "action" behind?

You could argue T2 actually still has a lot of horror influence to it, other than the opening scene and the cops really the fast majority of the action in that film is running from the T-1000.

The same applies to Predator and Aliens as well I'd say although they do have more action that isnt "running from the monster" in them.

No, but I would put it in my top 5 consisting of Terminator 2, Die Hard, Hard Boiled, Predator & The Killer.

The answer for me would be Raiders of the Lost Ark although that also does have quite a lot of horror elements to it.

I'ma go with a wild card here... In terms of pure, relentless, edge of seat, eye popping stunts and action I say Mission Impossible Fallout is the winner. Cruisemeister ftw.

It's hard to say if it's THE GOAT but it's definitely in the top tier.

If I had to choose a single favorite movie, it'd definitely be T2. But then again, I'm kinda biased since I grew up watching it over and over.

Its the only movie i ever cried in...

The end got me where hes like " i know now why humans cry...."
Then they lower him in and he gives a thumbs up...

It mightve just been something in my eye...

T2 is up there but it's no Con Air or John Wick IMO

For me :
#1- The Matrix
#2- T2
#3- The Gladiator
#4- Saving Private Ryan
#5- John Wick
#6- The Bourne Identity
#7- Mission Impossible
#8- Braveheart
#9- Predator
#10- Aliens
#11- Rambo
#12-Rogue One
#13-Diehard
#14- Skyfall
#15- Casino Royale

I didn't even think Fallout was the best MI movie. IMO 3 was the best one in the series. Seymor kills it as the villain. Action is top notch and the story is great also.

Fallout is the real standout of the whole series imo and the critics and audience scores seem to back this up. It's a real anomaly for me, as the others, though enjoyable enough, weren't particularly memorable and I've never felt compelled to watch them again whereas Fallout absolutely blew me away when I went to see it in the cinema on a whim. I was pretty much burnt out on the MI series tbh and never would I have expected the 6th installment to be this good.

That's funny because that's how I feel about the ones after number 3. They were enjoyable the same way a FF movie is but I couldn't even begin to tell you what the plot was.
